So is everything a sequel or remake besides Once Upon a Time in Hollywood?

Just another thread showing how horrible of a film TLJ was. A Star Wars film is releasing and isn’t anticipated; a sentence I wouldn’t have thought possible even after the prequels.

ETA: frick you with all the AIDS and Ebola dicks in the world Rian Johnson!

I have no idea why just for the reason you said. Joaquin is great in everything he is in, so I have no reason to think he won't nail this one too.

He might be good in it but if the rumors of what they are doing with the story line are true it's going to massively divide people much in the same way The Last Jedi did.

Nearly everyone who isn't still melting about TLJ has it in their top ten at least.

A quick search shows pretty much everyone who doesn't post here.

Divided between people who enjoy great performances and stories and those who look for reasons to not enjoy films.

I love how you so fervently defend TLJ as if you were Rian Johnson or Kathleen Kennedy.

We will see how it does

That’s just this board still melting. A movie podcast last week made a list on this same topic and these were their lists. It will still be one of the biggest movies of the year.

I still believe Filoni added in the world between worlds time travel stuff to Rebels as an out for Ep IX.

Who's defending it? I'm just enjoying the ongoing melt. I don't even know if I'll go see it. I do know that I won't be boycotting it years ahead of release because my arse is sore over a fricking Star Wars movie.

Not a chance.

They can’t go back. All groups of fans would reject it somewhat.

The actual Star Wars fans would applaud it out of principal, but would ultimately still hate it.

The “force is female” fans would flat out lose their fricking minds.

Hmmmm...honestly, that sounds like fun.

I hope you are right.

What is there to anticipate about Star Wars IX? Seriously.

What is exciting about how TLJ ended or any of the characters are right now? Why even go?

I hope JJ retcons Episode XIII out of existence and there is an awesome climax and cliffhanger at the end of IX announcing that Star Wars Episode X is the real end of the trilogy and Disney apologizes for TLJ
