I read his review for this movie and, while he does make some valid points, he loses credibility when he calls out the intelligence of the general audience in his second paragraph, before attacking his colleagues (fellow critics) for liking the film. He sounds like an absolutely miserable wretch from his review. Perhaps he would have preferred a Dogme 95 production of a superhero film

Then you very clearly don't know what makes Batman work and are a fool. It's like saying that James Bond shouldn't have charm. It doesn't work if this is the case. If anything, working through emotion is the most essential part of any Batman story. Just stop watching the films all together, since your understanding of Batman is about my understanding of chemical engineering.
