I'm 90 percent sure No Time To Die will suck. Might as well shelve it.

I don't even have high hopes for Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Sure, they aren't doing the 2016 thing, but instead they are aping Stranger Things and Venkman and Co. will likely be glorified cameos, so I don't have high hopes.

Even Top Gun 2 will probably not reach the high expectations fans of the original have set for it.

May as well push No Time to Die back a few more months so it gets released in 2022 as part of a James Bond 60th anniversary for the films.

Or release it VOD tomorrow. I'm good either way.

I know Soho is a town, but is Ghostbusters a state or nation?

I'm fairly certain at this point that No Time To Die will be released digitally at some point this year. It will never make it to theaters.

No Time To Die was originally supposed to come out November 2019.. they could have literally wrote, filmed, and shot another Bond film in this time.

I think I read where they tried to shop No Time To Die to a streaming service but it didn’t get the return they wanted. What a shite show that whole production has been. It was delayed like 2-3 times before the pandemic.

Might as well start work on the next Bond movie otherwise we could go almost 10 years with only 1 Bond movie.

After the release of No Time To Die, Eon needs to re-boot the franchise and return it to its roots. Set the first film in the late-40s/early-50s so you can actually make the character what he's supposed to be without risking offending the sensibilities of PC snowflakes. The only actors who should come back are Ralph Fiennes as M and Ben Whishaw as Q.

They’ll never do that. EON never does anything original. The only reason they rebooted in the first place with Casino Royale is because they saw the success of Batman Begins. Then they tried to copy Bourne.

They are also scared of their shadow and love to overreact to PC narratives. No Time to Die is like the 10th Bond movie in a row where “the women are strong and aren’t you’re typical Bond girls.”

Hoping that after all this mess and the Craig story is over, they go to Christopher Nolan and let him make his dream Bond movie.

based on Casino Royale being great, Quantum of Solace sucking, Skyfall being great, and Spectre sucking, we should be coming up on a good one.

law of averages and whatnot.

Skyfall was at most good. So if the trend line is Great > Suck > Good > Suck, then at most No Time To Die will be at best Good, at worst Suck.

My lord, just VOD it already.

ETA: And it sucks how the world is already giving up on 2021. shite being canceled, movies being pushed back.

The one trailer I've seen looks okay. Even girl powering it up with Igon's kid doesn't break the deal for me. Yes, I'm sure it was a conscious decision, but it feels more natural, whereas GB 16 set out from square one to be 100% girl power and adverse to the fanbase.

OK...here's the stupid question of the day.

Since theaters are apparently open (since some movies are getting released) and are definitely hanging on by a thread, why can't they just release No Time to Die (or any other movie) twice?

Kick it out now and, if nobody goes to see it because of COVID, just release it again whenever?

The slots are just sitting there unused anyway. Am I overthinking this? Do the major studios not want to potentially be responsible for an outbreak? Is there some actual reason based on finance or economics why that is a non-starter?
