quote:I saw someone post on Twitter last week who watched the screeners that Disney sent out to critics/media, that they only sent the first 4 episodes, and the 4th one ends in a major cliffhanger.
dammit that first episode ending made me wtf. damn cliff hangers
Anyways, that was fun. Isaac was awesome, and the voice was like in the Venom films, just with a much better better story.

I'm hoping the second episode takes place during the same timeframe, but from Marc Spector's perspective.

Exactly what I said to the wife...

That would be pretty great.
I was thinking they’d do a full origin story but that would be a lot cooler.

I thought it was an off brand Liam Neeson but was happy to see that it was actually F Murray Abraham.

I enjoyed the first episode. The Ethan Hawke opener was definitely uncomfortable to watch.

There are so many talented, working voice actors, I would've been fine with it turning out to have been a Steve Blum or Marc Graue, but F. Murray Abraham is pretty fricking epic.

Spector has a strong connection in the comics to a certain individual wearing an iconic skull logo on his chest.
Mephisto?

agreed. such wildly talented dude who's been pretty sporadic in his career. his only voice work i knew of was HTTYD3 and Isle of Dogs, but i figured that was just carry over from Grand Budapest work with Anderson.
speaking of, i introduced my teenager to GBH (minus them old bitties at the beginning) and he loved it. almost caught that swarmy little turd crying at the end when F. Murray Abraham finished his story.

This was an exceptionally done first episode. In one episode they've introduced the "hero", shown he has multiple struggles (internal and external) and introduced the villain (who could be seen at this point as morally ambiguous rather than strictly evil, making for a more interesting dilemma).
It starts with showing the main character has some sort of issue. You then learn he has even more issues, you see these "even more issues" impacting his life in negative ways and them -BAM!- the wheels come off briefly as his issues escalate quickly.
As he struggles to find out what's going on, his issues become crazier. By the end, the viewer has a bit of understanding to see what's going on but they also understand they are just starting to grasp only the surface of what may be a deep and crazy iceberg.
And I LOVE Khonshu being such a dick when Steven is in control.

F. Murray Abraham as Khonshu is another grand slam casting by Feige.
Huzzah for Mythic Quest!

I have never heard of Moon Knight but I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode.
Is the voice related to Venom or does it just sound the similar?

Not a Symbiote like Venom, but it's just a fringe benefit of FMA having an epic voice.

I liked it, wish we could have got 2 episodes

Epiode 2 is up. It's pretty funny. Less action, but reveals more character & plot details.

Episode 2 was so damn good. Oscar Isaac is killing it

Like several of the people on this thread I had never heard of the character but enjoyed episode 1 (which I just got around to
)
My only little nitpick were the special effects of the characters/creatures that were all CGI. They were surprisingly very average, which isn’t really in any MCU movie or show.
Still enjoyed the episode and looking forward to episode 2 that’s out.

This is rivaling Loki as the best Marvel series so far.
Having Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle show up would be perfect.

The CGI was pretty weak, but that seems standard for Disney + MCU. Probably a time thing.
