It is an absolutely fantastic show .... especially for my generation that grew up knowing about all of these serial killers.

Plus that have done an outstanding job casting all the major players especially the serial killers.

I was actually a Black Hat at Benning during the Hanson murders so I found that part particularly interesting.

You need to expand your small screen horizons.

Talk about an extremely underwhelming series.

Just started season one and it's great. First episode is a tad slow building characters and the plot, but after that it really takes off.

My favorite part of it is that it uses serial killers from real life. And portrays them to a tee. As someone who has read up and watched interviews on alot of these killers (cause I guess my twisted mind finds them interesting) it's intriguing to see a show that follows how serial killer profiling was developed.

I didnt cath the BTK link the first time I saw him, I guess episode two. But it clicked on the the third episode for sure.

Wait until you get to S2. More BTK and more creepiness.

in season 2 they have David Berkowitz (I think the 2nd episode). It's uncanny how the actor looks just like him.

I gained a new level of appreciation for the authenticity of the prop department today. I am always amazed at the effort taken to properly set a period piece, just things like making all the visible cars correct has to be a lot of work just for background. Because I notice these things I tend to notice little errors here and there, much to the chagrin of my wife and posters here when I have pointed it out (the fake AP Offshore watch Bobby Axelrod wears and the improperly setup Claymore mine in True Detective S3 for example).

In the cross building scene in E7 Ford was using what looked to be a Makita cordless drill and I thought... in 1978??? But lo and behold (save for the fact it didn't have a battery in) it was indeed correct. Makita made the first cordless drill sold to the public in 1978. The set designers also tracked down what appears to be a Makita 6010D the only correct cordless drill for the period. Kudos to them.

I read somewhere that the show used a lot of Prosthetics in S2

They made Manson and Williams look like Manson and Williams. Striking, since the same actor just played Manson in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and had a much better resemblance on Netflix.

I have watched both seasons and like the show.

But it is no where close to the best show on tv. That is just silly.

That scene takes place in 1981.

Also in E7 was an Al Jarreau song playing in the background “We’re in this love together”. The song was released in July of 1981
