Can anybody tell me what shows this is similar to. Been hearing lots of praise for it but never watched.

The only thing I hate about mindhunter...is that there isn’t more mindhunter.

No. Not even close. Season 1 of True Detective is the single greatest season of any TV program ever created.

TD S1 had probably the best 1st half season but it already started going down in the second half of S1. And just kept going down in S2 and S3.
Mindhunter is a much higher quality show.

this show is good but it's not gripping me like i feel like it should.
i watch all the serial killer type stuff just like everyone else so it's not the genre or material that's a problem. i enjoy the show, but im not dying to watch it while sitting at work or anything. what am i missing?
