Got out a little while ago. Really enjoyed it. Writing was better than it had any right to be.

The care for the fans was evident. You expect to see Beastman, Evil-Lyn and such.

I lost my shite when I saw Fisto, Mekanek, and Triclops. I turned into an 8-year-old immediately.

I will push back on what people said about Evil-Lyn. I think there is a cut out there with her having her traditional back-stabby personality. You can tell when they zoomed in on her for certain looks and glances that went nowhere. I think they probably cut all that, and left us with Alison Brie being a sycophant.

I base that on absolutely nothing other than my biased observation and probably my "want" for it to be there.

Best Summer film so far for me

I didn’t really get the hate for her performance, but I don’t recall the cartoon version she’s being compared to either. She’s super hot in real life and can act, I just think she wasn’t given enough to do in this one.

Maybe could have done a minute less of Fisto and gave her some time to brood or scheme behind the scenes, like show her tending her wounds and being emotional. Then it makes more sense when she abandons him at the end

She’d clearly have a bigger role in the next movie if we’re lucky

I also just saw Thor Bjornsson played Goat Man, I was wondering who that was

Hopefully the 80% and the word of mouth boosts sales. I understand people don’t really go to the movies as much anymore but I’m sure once it hits streaming it may make more money as well.

Seems like social media is very high on it and every negative review I see there’s quite a bit of pushback on said review.

Saw it this weekend and Scary Movie. I was looking forward to scary movie but it was on par with 4 or 5.
Then last minute was asked to go with some people to He-man and I enjoyed it. Good summer flick.
I liked that they had an the cool toys cast almost exactly how they looked. I liked Tila and all the casting. Thought Skeletor was cool too.
Not woke not preachy but some meta take of male patriarchy.

I didn't expect to see all the popular toy characters. That was the best part. Fisto, Ram-Man and I liked Idris as Man at Arms.

True story. Ram Man was the 1st He-Man toy I ever got, because my Uncle thought it was He-Man. . .because the logo on the package said "He-Man"

That’s awesome. I gotta say, Beast Man looked freaking great. I thought the CGI on his face was really good

In the red letter media video, they say that the “moss” on the Moss Man toy would dissolve if you got him wet and he’d just be a green guy.

They wondered if killing him was a nod to that

Took two of my boys today. They liked it

It was overall pretty well done. Didn’t take itself too seriously, maybe could have used more Skeletor

I like how Adam disappeared to become He man at the end and his team was like "does he really think we don't know?"

"RAM-MAN, give them all head" was funny because Ram Man stopped and stared like "what?"

Agreed. I think they probably cut a lot for time purposes.

There was a scene when they bust out of jail where they get overcome by some gas. Somebody throws up. And then it cuts to totally different characters running out of the gas and not reacting and they don’t mention it.

My guess would be there is a deleted Stinkor scene.

Saw this comment, thought it was appropriate.

I saw they came out with a new Eternia set a couple years ago. It’s money though

Allied to its 29.4M weekend in the U.S., the live-action with a 170M production price tag not including marketing hits a timid 54.4M Global Opening. “But Luizzzzzzz, what about the 170M price-tagggggg?”.

Should be common knowledge by now, but as we always remind people, Amazon and Big Tech in general see theatrical just as extra money and a way to add pedigree and cultural relevance to their titles before those titles hitting their domains. Big Tech’s endgame will ALWAYS be what the movies will bring to the table once they debut on Big Tech’s own platforms, including subscriptions, sales, time spent exploring the platform and the juicy personal-targeted ads!

In 2025, #Amazon generated $68B from ad revenue alone, a +22% growth from 2024 (and 2x what the Global #BoxOffice made over the same period) They definitely don’t rely on theatrical money financial-wise, nor greenlight movies accordingly to theatrical #BoxOffice prospects. They do rely on eyeballs seeing and watching ads in their apps and websites, and the more culturally relevant content they have to keep increasing ad-watching, the merrier.

I get the earth stuff but could have cut that for fleshing out Skeletor a little more

I assumed going in he was an antagonist to eternia for years but apparently not

wait I don’t get this part, I think he is as he destroyed Eternos and sent the king to prison?

Maybe I’m misunderstanding something

I mean during his initial attack at the start of the movie, they had no clue who he was.

Unless I’m just misinterpreting his line about lying in the shadows waiting/building

Ohh I misread your sentence and the “for years” going in part didn’t click. Read it as not being an antagonist after the battle
