I know she made a comeback but GODDAMN that character disappeared for the better part of 20 years in the comics between the 80s and the 2000s.
If not for the Spider Man text game from the 80s and her appearing in the 90s cartoon, she’d have been completely out of sight out of mind for a generation.

I was too young to read most her her comics run but the idea is that she is a psychic (clairvoyant and telepathic IIRC) tied to some form of life support device and would reach out to Peter on occasion.
Her entire schtick was to be mysterious and say something which was important in a way that you couldn’t tell what it meant until The Time Is Right.
She is a plot device and not a lead character.
