Marvel’s ‘Blade’ Loses another Director

The parting with the French-Algerian filmmaker actually happened a while ago and it was entirely amicable. Demange was the second director to part the project after replacing Bassam Tariq.
Marvel veteran writer Eric Pearson, who most recently worked on “Fantastic Four” is currently working on the “Blade” script. Michael Starrbury wrote the previous draft of the script.

there’s absolutely no way anyone currently at Disney can make blade properly. The 3 movies are already damn good. Leave it alone and try to fix your trash movies please.

It's a shame that they can't get this right. You have a two time academy award winner as the lead, and vampires. How can you frick this up? Make it rated R and have Ali just killing vamps with good writing. No female leads, no gay story lines or secret gay romance. No big CGI monster finale. Just a dude killing vamps.

honestly, it is going to be hard to make better blade movies than the first 2 Blade movies.
Those were pretty sick and Blade works so well in 90s goth techno scene.
I just want to see Mahershala Ali as blade. I feel like he would kill it if they got the script right.

This movie will never come out, and if it does, the movie will be utter trash. It's a shame too, because I really thought they hit a slam dunk with casting Mahershala Ali.

It’s 100% why Cavill finally had to dip out of the Witcher. And why so many other artists and writers have left other projects because the people in charge have no intention of honoring the source material.
Sadly, the trend in current day Hollywood and BBC is to actively attack and subvert expectations of longtime fans for the crime of loving a franchise.
