Thinking about starting this tonight on HBO Go. Big fan of Denzel films so I'm assuming I'll enjoy this one. Anyone on the board seen it and can give a review?

It's my personal favorite of all time. I think it encompasses every emotion a film could have.

The editing is a little over the top, but that doesn't stop it from being an awesome movie. You are a homo for not watching it sooner.

LOVE that line. Love it.

Great movie all the way through. I've grown it like it more than Training Day.

Pumped to watch this now since TD is my favorite Denzel movie. I figured I would get a lot of bs responses cause it is a popular film but just wanted to get the boards opinion. Can't wait to start this in an hr.

Give it a little time . . . it is a slow burn at first, but when the action starts, it gets real.

this movie would have been even more awesome if denzel had a butt bomb ready at the end and goes kaboom and takes out the bad guys

The first time I watched MoF, I rated it below TD. Somewhere along the line they flip-flopped. TD is a great movie in its own right, but it seems like it hasn't held up as well as MoF.

Because Denzel has become Alonzo in all his movies.

Man on Fire, awesome movie.

Someone said earlier it is a slow burn. Perfect description.

This is easily in my Top 3 Denzel Washington movies of all time. It could be my #1, and I am a huge Denzel fan. It's that good. PLEASE watch it.

Man on Fire's great because of the over the top flourishes and every payoff is awesome.

This was the original ending. Didn't test well with test audiences.

A man... can be an artist... in anything. In food, whatever... it depends on how good he is... at it. Creasy's art is death... he's about to paint his masterpiece

This quote explains it all.

it's pretty good but I think a lot of people tend to heap too much praise on it. It's way too overstylized to the point of detracting from it. I prefer the Professional as far as movies featuring bonding between vengeful assassins/bodyguards and little girls

Awesome movie. The finger part can not be beat. Denzel is so Denzel in the movie, no other way to describe that much badassery.

Not being the Professional is hardly a negative for a movie, not all movies can be that awesome. Anyway, Man on Fire is one of Denzel's best films, up there with Fallen, Glory, and Inside Man for me.
