According to our source part of WB's plan is to use Man Of Steel and drop hints that Superman is in a shared universe with his DC counterparts. The hints will be very subtle such as character mentions. The one character that DC is really wanting to reference is Wonder Woman.

Take this with a grain of salt. I could see it happening since Superman is in a relationship with Wonder Woman in the comics right now.

Ugh. I don't like what marvel did, and I hope MoS doesn't do it.

I don't mind this. Referencing the existence of other heroes could be something as simple as having a character like Amanda Waller referring to the "growing threat of these super humans."

All it would take for a cameo would be a computer screen with Wonder Woman's picture on it or something.

Also, Sentrius, I don't expect much correlation between MoS and The New 52, especially since MoS will have Lois Lane.

IMDB does not show a Dr. Waller, but that doesn't mean much. It does have a "Capt. Carrie Ferris" though. Not too sure what to make of that. Green Lantern's woman was "Carol Ferris."

Possible GL reference?

You're crazy. What Marvel did is now considered one of the best moves in cinema history.

Well, they basically copied his new suit from 52 so that's one correlation there.

The question is will Supes and LL be love interests?

I would say no because it would be confusing to have Supes with one woman in the comics and with a different one in the movies. It just would not be consistent of DC comics to do that.

Maybe Superman can crossover and fix either Star Wars or Star Trek now that they're FUBAR?

But remember, they have to make this movie reach a wide audience as well. Everyone that doesn't really know comics has LL as Superman's girl. It's been pretty consistent over the years.

Hell, people freaked out when Peter Parker was dating Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man instead of MJ.

I don't get his hate for it either, Freaux. I thought what Marvel did was great.

what marvel did was shovel out shite movies like captain america, thor and iron man 2 to set up the super lame epic avengers where they fight the same guy from thor.

i really liked iron man. I liked the incredible hulk, but then they recast him when the whole point of these fricking movies was to set up the avengers

BTW making a movie to set up a movie is perhaps the worst reason to make a movie, and they did it like 5 times. Then when i finally get to watch the avengers it's fricking stupid. It doesn't make sense (the entire 2nd act), it's boring, and it looks cartoony.

/rant

i guess in the end you cannot make a straight comic book adaptation and have it be a good film. I loved what nolan did, and i think i'm going to love what snyder has done

To each his own. I can kind of see how you approach some movies now. Your JC feelings make more sense.

I don't mean this negatively, but if you were wondering where the movie snob nomination came from, and you've been this open about the MarvelU feelings this long, this is probably why.

I could have sworn that I saw an alien army attacking Manhattan in the Avengers and it wasn't just Loki. But who knows it wasn't enjoyable at all nor did I have a good time watching it come to life on the big screen.

The Avengers Hulk is 100x better than the others and I like Norton's movie. Ruffalo's portrayal of Banner was much more true to the actual character.

I will agree that CA was subpar and Ironman 2 was nothing special. I liked Thor though.

The thing is, what they did was the best way to bring together all the individuals on the team. You can't just throw all of them together without giving background stories, and you can't do that for everyone in 1 movie.
