I think the point is that Superman is so fricking powerful that no one is ever going to whip his arse.
that's why he is not a very interesting superhero

He has an entirely different set of problems. Once again, to have so much power and to feel the responsibility to protect, but yet he couldn't even save his father from dying...that is his weakness, and unlike death, he has to live with it.

Not to mention the fact that's he completely different from the rest of us as an alien on this planet and he's the sole survivor of his race.

I also forgot to add that Superman always talks about how he feels like he's living in a world made of cardboard. So much power and he has to be careful with it or he'll hurt a lot of people.
ETA: I live in a world made of cardboard.

Hence, no drama. That's the problem with Superman on film.

59% sounds about right
The fact that Lois knew Clark was Supe - horrible
The fact that Clark becomes a fully functioning Supe in the first few minutes - terrible
The fact that Supe fights Zod for an hour while killing a million people, only to just snap Zods neck - ruined the movie

You need to get a life bro. You take this superman stuff way to seriously
Man of Steel was below average

I am really confused as to why people keep bringing this up. In Superman the Movie he literally becomes Superman (like morphs from a TEENAGER to a 30 year old) in five seconds. Yeah, yeah a lot of story wasn't told, but hell. At least we saw Kal-El figuring out how to fly in this one!

Nah, he's pretty interesting.

The Smallville TV show changed the game.

It really did. It was a great show until Lex left.

Ok then. Someone should have told Zack Snyder we needed a 3 hour 40 min reboot film

You can smell Nolan's paws on the movie and it's some of the worst parts of the film, along with Goyer's always terrible dialogue. Snyder, if anything, saves the film.
I must admit..
I do like Watchmen as much as Nolan's best Batman movies..

Cinemascore gave After Earth a B. So there's that.

Snyder would have been for that...

No, the smashing and crashing could be part 2. Just like in Batman Clark needed to spend time becoming Superman.
And also the amount of carnage made no sense. If Supe was fully functioning, he should have had way less problems defeating Zods crew, with them being new to this super being stuff

That's just writers covering their arse. Notice the use of focus and train in the same statement?
Focusing on becoming an elite athlete and becoming one, are not comparable acts
