I'd bet money Jessica Jones will end after season 3. This past season wasn't very good.

Her mom was a terrible "villain"

good it was terrible. I was finishing it up this weekend and wanted to start a thread about how can Daredevil be so good and Luke Cage be so bad.

Season 2 of Luke Cage was better than season 1 on the whole. But the whole series was pretty bad after Cottonmouth was taken out. Made no sense to kill off the only interesting character, and the best actor.

Most of the acting, in both seasons, was flat out bad. There were some good musical performances. Misty Knight was a brightspot, Nightshade was good in season 2, Bushmaster wasn't that bad.

Shades, Mariah, Diamondback, Luke's dad, all of them were just terrible.

Story and writing, maybe but the Danny Rand actor made it so much worse to watch than Luke Cage.

agreed, and when did Theo Rossi forget how to act? Shades was a joke, looked like someone got their brother to play a part with no history.

Probably didn't help that they wrote themselves into a corner with the ending of season 2. Luke basically becoming a crime boss was so out of character and random.

Good riddance. Take iron fist, Jessica jones and defenders with you. Use the leftover money and pour it all into Punisher, and end the next season with punisher killing dare devil.

One other thing that could be playing into this is next year we’ll start seeing Netflix launch movies and tv shows based on comic book properties they got when they bought Millarworld.

Iron Fist felt like I watching a day-time soap opera with a little kung fu thrown in. Still haven't finished Season 2. I enjoyed the first half of Cage season 1 and most of season 2.

Netflix doesn't release viewership numbers, so journalists track social media to see how Netflix series are doing...

Interest in Netflix's 'Luke Cage' and 'Iron Fist' dropped dramatically over time, and its other Marvel shows could also be in trouble

I wonder how much of that is tied to show quality and how much is tied to the binge format and short seasons. The old network tv model of 20+ episodes spread through the year engaged viewers about 9 months a year and 3-4 months or so was the longest you’d go between episodes. Now you watch a show over the weekend and don’t see it again for a year.

I wish they had a graph for Stranger Things to see how a non-Marvel popular series fared from season to season.

I don't know how much of a proxy this is to the social media mentions, but the amount of twitter followers between the official show accounts varies pretty significantly

@Daredevil 928k
@JessicaJones 579k
@LukeCage 352k
@MarvelIronFist 287k
@ThePunisher 134k

That makes me worried that season 2 of The Punisher might be the last one we get.

Also, @Stranger_Things 1.94 million
