I stopped watching for a long time. Did Walt have powers like it was hinted at?
If not why did Others/Dharma act so scared of him?

OK, well after reading through all this I guess we can all agree that we don't know for sure what happened.
I can't wait for the 2 producers/creators to appear on Jimmy Kimmel to ANSWER SOME QUESTIONS.
Great show. Great finale.

I think they all died when Juliette set the bomb off
I think he knew he was going to die anyways.

So can someone tell me what happened to Desmond on the 'real time' island? These past few eps proved to me that he was the only character I gave a frick about at the end. Well, maybe Sawyer too, but I gather that he got away from the island.

IMO people are reading into the plane at the end too much. I think it was just a tribute to the show and where it all started.

Why was the Island under water in the alt-timeline?
When don't know "when" the alt timeline is.... That could have been hundreds of years in the future. Maybe Hurley and Ben did something to sink the island. Or whomever they appointed to their positions.

Did you miss them falling in love before she got killed?

I still don't know what the frick MIB was supposed to be or how his power was taken away from him.
I think folks are forgetting about that entire Red Herring shite. I still have no idea what made the island special and what kind of plutonium that light was supposed to be.
Somebody explain that hole to hell in the island and I'll be satisfied with the ending. It's the real timeline I'm pissed about.

The island wasn't purgatory.
Exactly. The people who left on the jet were alive and died off the island.

They planned to make a bigger deal of walt...then he hit puberty in between seasons and got too old looking too quick...so they had to abandon that.

Walt was just a screwup, they didn't plan ahead there, you can't hide the aging of a kid that young on a show that lasted six years but didn't last six years in the real time of the show. So they ditched it.

Just messing. I do love Miles as a character though.
WTF WAS THE MAGIC MIRROR!?!
Ok I'm done.
I am satisfied, but I say that hesitantly. I still think the creators and writers treated the fans like shite. I'm glad it ended with a definitive ending though.
Except for Walt. Wtf

The island didn't exist in "their purgatory". It wasn't apart of it because they chose it not to be. Likely Hurley and Ben died on the island somewhere along the way. It never sank.

so the writers basically just lied about it being purgatory

The light went out. MIB got his power from the light.

i think ben stayed behind because he would rather move on when alex and rousseau move on...
i love lost and dont have any problems with the ending... but riddle me this...
what happens if you die in the alternate... ala Keamy...

I mean, they took Oceanic Flight 815...they still had airplanes...jack still drove an old beat up car...it didnt seem "hundreds of years in the future"
