That was a great ending to the series, and I cannot possibly see how anyone could not have a great feeling after watching the story end like it did.

Once I saw Jack wandering through the forest about to die I knew what the last frame would be and I was glad.

I'm glad they didn't delve into what would happen with them now that they met up in the "alt-universe".

I took it as they all survived the crash but when they died they went to the alt-uni and all had to wait until they were all there.

I am a little confused as to how the whole remembering process works but all in all, I'm just glad that it didn't end in a way that left me pissed off.

I refuse the better part of their lives was a 3 hour tour on a cheap airplane. Island was definitely real.

Really liked the bit of having Vincent lie with Jack so he didn't die alone. Great final episode

I didnt watch the show except the last 30 min tonight so obviously none of it makes sense to me, but I see a lot of you saying they created a purgatory to meet up at. How do humans create a purgatory?

Everything that happened on the island happened while they were alive. The alternate reality was something that the people on the island made, a purgatory of sorts, so that they could all get back together again.

The Vincent part was very good. Ended just the way it began. Nice touch.

This means the dialogue between Desmond and Faraday about Faraday splitting the timelines was a red herring...

frick, I loved that conversation.

But showing the crash at the end was an odd, stupid red herring move then.

I agree. After they finished showing those few scenes, I looked at my wife and said, "That was weird."

the whole, "when you die you end up in the emo-verse" doesn't make sense due to timelines

I am not going to worry about timelines. As someone said, death is timeless or something. You get there when you are ready.

I like the idea that they lived on the island and met up in the flash sideways when theywere ready. Just like Kate said to Jack. He could come into the church when he was ready.

I'm still confused.

Why did they show the crash at the end? Did they all die, but the island was actually purgatory of their own creation and thus they did live with each other???

Or was the island real? If so why show the crash at the end.

ben apologizing to locke about killing him is more proof that the alternate was a purgatory and that the island was all real.

plus christian said it was real.

plus hurley and ben really did run the island for a while.

So how much of season 6 did this altverse take up?

Seems like a dick move to make purgatory/altverse be such an important part of the last season rather than resolve questions/storylines.

Rather than resolve actual shite lets just give the audience a twist.

I found it interesting Ben chose not to "move on". He basically chose to stay in purgatory to "figure some things out".
