Man, ya'll have managed to turn a decent Lost discussion thread into total shite with the pointless arguing for 5 pages, and the Sayid joke run into the ground and out the other side of the world. But I digress..
This, times a billion. I kept waiting for her to say that, and she never did. What shitty parenting by both of them. I guess the whole "Jin got to see his daughter via the camrea" could kinda settle that, but still...he's never seen his daughter, and at some point he knew that he couldn't save Sun, so he should have wanted to not orphanize his little girl. Bad move on the writers' part IMO.
I'm not so sure about that...he gets hit with the door, and a few minutes later, we see a body lying underwater that Jack goes to pick up, but then leaves there because he realized it was dead. That body seemed to be in the same spot where Lapidus got hit with the door, leading me to believe that it was him. And it had to either be him or the captain (who wasn't in that area though). Also, people were evacuating the sub and it was filling up with water and sinking...Lapidus never made it out (that we saw). I think that if the writers wanted us to think he was still alive, they'd have at least HINTED at a chance that he was. And they didn't do that. Don't get me wrong, I hope he is, cuz I really like Lapidus...I just think he may have bit the bullet (door?) in this one.

And I'm sure that someone has already covered this, but I was surprised that Sun didn't insist that Jin leave the sub so he could get back to the mainland and raise their daughter. Granted, he probably wouldn't have listened, but I thought they should have addressed that whole "lil' Kwon growing up without parents" thing before they drowned.

there is no on screen confirmation that Frank is dead.

Others have theorized that this whole sequence has happened before (maybe 108 times). Do you think Locke knows what will (mostly) happen if he does certain things - because he has tried them before? Almost like "GroundHog Day?"
This is what I think is going on.

damn, i completely missed this, i will have to watch that part again.
the only reason i still think he is alive is because in none of the stuff i have read about this episode has said anything about his death, just the death of sun and jin and sayid.
If he is dead it was a pretty shitty way to go out

Jack had to get on the sub somehow and take the switched backpack
it wasnt that difficult, MIB handed Jack the backpack in all the confusion, Jack hardly glanced at it before he threw it on his back

am I the only one more pissed about Jeff Fahey's character's death than Jin, Sun or Sayid?
Of course you're not the only one. Didn't you see my "RIP - Best in Texas" posts?
His "we're not going to Guam, are we?" line is one of my favorite moments in the entire series.

Q: is an official ABC sneak peek at next week's episode considered a "spoiler" ??

But at least he was able to go out in typical Arab fashion by blowing up with a bomb strapped to his chest.

I just want to point out something that was heavily debated in a previous thread that's answered by the sneak peek

Go for it Stu.
To me, that's more of a 'clarification' than a spoiler.

It's the same kid. Someone checked the casting on IMDB. The difference in perceived haircolor has more to do with the shadow of the shot than the writers trying to trick us.

ETA: Trust me if you read it, you'll realize the hair color is not an issue.

if the hair means anything it means the kid is just a bit older
i just think people are reading too much into the kids hair color.
its the same freaking character! its not a split personality... it was the lighting that made his hair look darker than it really was..
vs.
quote:
Decatur
This kid has light blonde hair.
Unless the mysterious properties of the island can cause a change in a person's hair color, I don't think the kid we saw last night should be considered as the "same" kid we saw earlier in the season.
If it's really a matter of the makeup or lighting causing the difference, then some of the LOST production crew needs a good kicking to the teeth.
IMO we're supposed to notice the difference in hair color. Either the kids are twins or they are two "sides" of the same kid.

Uncle Stu
that boy in the jungle tonite had distinctly dark hair
quote:
Hot Carl
The producers are absolutely aware of the contrast of the hair color. What that means is another story. Perhaps it is just to show 2 sides of the same character, whether it be young Jacob, MIB, or somebody else. I still think they're twins(Jacob and MIB).
Decatur, HotCarl & myself were right and you guys were wrong

Not to point out the obvious, but it's easy to be "right" in Lost conversations when you've already read any and every spoiler that you can find on the internet.

This is the correct answer.

Damnit Ryno, why did you let Stu post that spoiler?
You should be banned.

I've never debated anything that I already knew, I've stayed out of every topic that I already knew the answer to
at the time of the thread, it was still a mystery to me, and I had my own theory
plus, the "spoiler" to that specific question wasnt revealed until a couple days ago, and now ABC's release just solidified it

I'm just fricking with you.

ah ha....thank you Stu.
So they have to be Jacob and MIB as kids right?
This episode is going to be tremendous. I know that's been said a million times.
