Damnit Ryno, why did you let Stu post that spoiler?
You should be banned.
At least he'll go out in typical Ryno fashion, with a spoiler strapped to his chest.

Are the kids playing backgammon?

SPOILER:
What exactly were you "right" about Stu? It was the same kid being shown but he was Jacob both times.
The sneek peek clearly shows there are two different actors playing the characters when they are younger.

quote:Well let's be fair about it. I was arguing about something very specific in regard to hair color. You guys were saying that the two different appearances by the kid was important because of the hair color. I was saying it was the same kid and any small difference in hair color was not the defining factor in saying it was a DIFFERENT kid. I still maintain that it was the same kid in both appearances. That sneak peak actually proves it. The other kid's hair was much darker and is obviously someone different.
Decatur, HotCarl & myself were right and you guys were wrong
I was never arguing that hair color would never be important in the show. I was arguing that the kid was Jacob in both appearances and the hair color differences you guys were using to say it was someone different was inconsequential.

Here we go again.

Yeah, the mysterious jungle kid that we have seen was the same actor both times. The kid seems much younger in the sneak peak. Have they been filming this kid over time so that he looks younger in some scenes while older in other scenes...like what someone was mentioning about how some new Jack scenes were filmed years ago.

At least he'll go out in typical Ryno fashion, with a spoiler strapped to his chest.

Others have theorized that this whole sequence has happened before (maybe 108 times). Do you think Locke knows what will (mostly) happen if he does certain things - because he has tried them before? Almost like "GroundHog Day?"
I've been thinking this for a long time. It could explain some of the deja vu moments in some of the early Season 1 episodes.
How else would Jacob and Locke know that they are influencing events in their favor, unless they have been doing it by trial and error over and over again?

I think it's the same kid, but he's just aging. Some blonds will have their hair grow darker with aging. I think the contrast in hair is just playing upon the white/black theme, or destiny vs. free will. Also, I think the kid growing up was just signifying that time is running out for MIB to win the game, so to speak.
Also, I think the kid is MIB.

lol at stu claiming to be right.
If anything the preview proves us right because the kid that Desmond saw was Jacob.

I should watch the preview. I did use to think it was Jacob.

This argument is dumb. Regardless of who is right, it doesn't have much affect on what we know and can theorize.
How about we just wait and watch the next episode?
