me the most enjoyable part was seeing the always in control Ben reduced to the scared follower. It was a real good way of showing that character completely out of his element.

If you think about it, this is the theme of the entire season so far. The tables have been turned on many characters.

Another example would be Sawyer being the leader of Dharma while Jack is the lowly powerless workman.

Someone mentioned that Locke is acting more confident, I definitely picked up on that.

wouldn't you if you came back from the dead? Locke might just feel all powerful right now.

i like what someone else said about it being code to find out who is with them.

Haven't read this thread yet, but AWESOME episode last night. Ben episodes are the tits. And he's such a cold-blooded badass sometimes.

Also, it's really interesting to see him and Locke going back and forth with each other. That's definitely entertaining to watch.

I'll now go and read the thread and see what questions or thoughts I have.

Do we know what was inside of the container that the bounty hunter chick was messing with?

Well 2 or 3 of the ship wrecked bolted to Lapedis when they saw him saying "they have the guns, they said their in charge now". At least something along the lines of that.

Who else thinks that Ben will continue his devious ways?

I almost expect him to lie to John about what Smokie did to him...he might even say that the island wants him back as it's leader. What's so bad about a little haunting from your dead daughter when you can continue on your power trip.

I should have bought a damned Powerball ticket last night with all the predictions I've made about Ben coming true (some friends and I have a mailstring).

A - Ben forced Widmore off the island
B - Ben wanted to get back to the island to be the leader again (he loves being in charge)
C - Ben didn't think Locke would REALLY come back from the dead

I had also mentioned that I ghouth Kate gave Aaron to Claire's mother. And now I am out of Prophecy Juice so no more Powerball or casinos for me for a while

now to hit the LOSTpedia forums to see what's been gleaned from all the hieroglyphs

I just picked up on possible word play...

"What lies in the shadow of the statue" could be literal as in geography, or it could be a little deeper as in "judgement" or "the truth" if you consider that Smokie is the temple's "shadow".

Yep, Ben will definitely not tell Locke the truth about his encounter with Smokey but then Locke seems to be finely tuned with island so that's probably exactly what he expects from Ben
