I agree, I think they could make it look that way, but it's going to be too vague. They have a season and a half to go where they could loop back around to something that happened in the pilot. We'll just have to see.

Jack's going to wake up in the last episode and it's going to be the day of the plane crash all over again. Just like in the video game!

This makes sense, and the next day people will be talking about it as much as the Sopranos ending, and whichever song is in the finale will be the #1 single the next day.

I watched it again yesterday. I don't know if it was addressed here, but before Jack goes up to see Claire's mother, it is a sunny day outside. They go to commercial and come back and it is pouring rain. The rain itself doesn't add much to the scene. Also, it was right after the scene with Sawyer etc. that changed times and went from sunny day, to pouring rain.
So what does the sudden change in weather supposed to suggest for Jack and Kate?

i wanna know why the boat that was chasing them disappeared but the one they stole from that time didn't? i guess the same with the compass that Richard gave Locke? so if you touch something it stays with you during a flash? seems kinda silly IMHO
ETA: i think all this theorizing about lost is gonna give me nose bleeds and seizures

I was wondering the same thing! I said," ok, now they're gonna have to swim back to shore!"
I hope the writers aren't missing all these things or explain them soon.

I love how everyone completely over-thinks this show. It's pretty obvious that every thing that people are touching comes with them. Why over think it?
More interestingly, what would have happened if Sawyer reached out and touched Kate when she was watching Claire have the baby and then the flash happened???

Theory:
The whispers and movements in the jungle they heard through the first 4 seasons were, in reality, the characters hearing the current group moving through time on the island all around them.

I think this is the reason the Others were building a runway on Hydra Island. This makes sense because the canoes found on the beach of the main island are the same type of canoe used by Carl when he left Hydra Island. Maybe Ben uses the second airline to bring the O6 back to the island. I wonder if Sun has part ownership in the airline and took a plane to return to the island.
Mrs. Hawking is trying to pinpoint the location of the island so the O6 will need to get to the proposed location as quickly as possible. This is the reason for the plane.
Maybe the 06 were the other people in the canoe.

They wouldn't be chasing and shooting at the people they went back to save.
I don't know who was in the canoe chasing Sawyer's group and shooting at them, but I'm sure it wasn't the Oceanic 6.
