What the frick were the ratings talking about? This was the 3rd lowest rated of the season. I guess they must have gotten no information about this episode. This is one of the 5 best episodes of the series, and yes I think it one upped "Ab Aeterno". This episode was amazing and a hell of a companion piece to "Flashes Before Your Eyes".

I gotta say this episode left me unsatisfied for the first 20 min but the second half really picked up a la The Constant.
So it looks like maybe Desmond is going to have to convince the 6 to do something in the alternate timeline. Maybe go to the island?

I believe Daniel will figure out how to get Desmond back in time to prevent the Hydrogen Bomb from blowing up. The next sequence of events will be the second scene form the Season Premier.

You gotta know that Minkowski is seeing things too...he's there to help Desmond. BTW, I think LOST is a love story at its core.
It seems to me that the alternate timeline is "escalating" toward an Omega Point that will happen once everyone in the alt timeline has their flashes, maybe even resulting converging the alt timeline back to the island timeline. Who knows?
Great fricking episode.
