I believe Daniel will figure out how to get Desmond back in time to prevent the Hydrogen Bomb from blowing up

The island is sunk.
I know, I know. I just don't want to let it go.

I guess you missed the Faraday/Desmond scene?

But don't you see? You're supposed to stick to your original theory and make everything else fit around it, even if it completely debunks it.
That's how it works around here, ain't it?

As far as Des showing the people something, in the alt timeline he doesn't know who all he is "connected" to (our original Losties). So is he just gonna go to every single person on the manifest and try to tell them something? Or will he somehow become enlightened on only a select few that he needs to speak to?

Was it was strange to any of you how willing Desmond was to go with Sayid?

quote:He might just go up to them and see if he has a deja vu moment. This brings up what someone was saying in a thread a while back. In season 1, Kate tells Charlie she knows him from somewhere and its not because he's in a band. There have been other instances of it as well. I just can't think of them off the top of my head.

I think it's safe to say who he goes after next week.

My Tivo screwed up and didn't record the episode, any where I can watch it tonight online?

Let's make a list of everyone who was exposed to high levels of electromagnetic (and maybe also nuclear) energy...Desmond, Charlie, Daniel, Jack, Kate, Sayid, Sawyer, Miles, Locke (wasn't he still near the Hatch when it went off)...who else am I missing. Because they have all been exposed, they will be able to unstick themselves from time in the alt timeline so they can become aware of what they have to do in the alt timeline in order to save everyone (in all timelines FWIW).
It only ends once, everything else is just progress.

Locke was the only other person in the immediate vacinity of the explosion besides Desmond and Eko, and 2 of them are dead. Desmond is the only one who can do it.

I don't know Decatur, I think it was pretty clear that they were hinting at Faraday working out his quantum physics and Desmond becoming his Constant, where he travels back in time to prevent Faraday from influencing Jack to blow up the bomb.
That timeline will cease to exist and it will be picked up with Kate, Hurley, Jin, Sayid, Jack, Sawyer, and Claire in the wreckage that was present at the beginning of the season.

You can watch it tomorrow morning on ABC.com.

Oh, and I'm betting that Sawyer gets some of his memory from the other timeline (and vice-versa) when he meets Juliet, likely for coffee.

So what y'all are saying is that "it worked" when they blew up Jughead, but it is ultimately bad and they should not have done it?
