quote:
that certain dead people are trapped between worlds and have appeared on the island via whispers.
but, according to that assbag Michael:
1) you had to die on island
2) you did something bad
to my knowledge, that disqualifies Christian as being "trapped"

Someone a few pages back mentioned crazy old theories that were developed as the seasons went on during LOST. I've read a few of the old ones and one that intrigued me but that I'm certain is just subterfuge by the producers is the theory that they are all mental patients or people in some kind of therapy. It is funny how nearly every single character had "lost" something important to them or had some serious issues with their past. I'm certain this won't be the case, but I thought that could have been reasonable guess back a few seasons ago.

If they pull a deus ex machina of any form with this story, it would be the biggest travesty in television history I hope the writers aren't that cowardly.

Also, we've yet to see him cross to the other Island in smoke form, it's only been in the form of Locke. Combine that with the fact that in all the previous seasons we've never seen Smokie appear on Hydra island.
so maybe he can only become smokey on the main island as opposed to not being able to cross water, just so happens there arent any huge bodies of water in the middle of the island

If we're wondering about how he gets to Hydra, explain how he got into the "Frozen Wheel" tunnel when it was sealed off?
Another thing I want to know, why were all the people on Hydra dead when Sawyer went to check it out?

Just because MIB hasn't been seen doing something doesn't mean he isn't capable of doing it. He may want DHARMA/Widmore to think the pylons are effective on him, because if they aren't completely effective and he shows them this, then they will find out something that can make sure he won't enter certain locations. He just never had any real reason to invade the Barracks or Hydra Island. Its basically been implied that the Monster can teleport due to him being able to vanish at will, and especially Christian's appearance on the Freighter (even if it isn't confirmed if Christian was MIB at the time). I'm just guessing he doesn't want to show all his cards yet and his full power.

I think Christian started working for MIB the moment he was "resurrected" on the island. In addition to what you mentioned, what's weird is that he and Claire can also appear off the island, at least to Jack and Kate, respectively. There's some real power there, no doubt.
