Look son, I just said he physically resembled Jacob in the face. I'm not saying he is Jacob or not--how could we know at this point.
You missed the Substitute, which likely showed a young Jacob. Don't talk down to anyone who has seen twice as many episodes as you.

Actually the Seinfeld reference was when Hurley said he had an event for The Human Fund coming up.
Well yeah, that too.

it was reminiscent of Liam Neeson explaining the Midichlorians to Lil' Jake Lloyd.
There was no other way but to come out and say that. The Whisper Transcripts point strongly to it being the dead talking out. They either had to state it point blank in the show proper and or some panel.

bizarre ending. but MIB actually looked scared of Jack, I think that could be more important. He may have only hit Locke so that he would go to the hospital to meet Jack
I think Desmond is living both timelines simutaneously roughly and he thinks that Locke did that to him.

i think it was the same kid, a young jacob, and he is getting older. the last time he showed up was when MIB was walking through the woods with Sawyer, and he told him he couldn't kill him, it was against the rules. This time MIB is walking through the woods with Desmond, and he shows up again. was he saying he couldn't kill him either?

quote:There was another list previous to that one and it wasn't the list of the people on the dock and it most definitely did come from Jacob and Mikhail knew about it. I have no idea beyond that.
Richard didn't know, so none of the other Others did either.
quote:
In "Par Avion", Mikhail states that Kate is not on the list because she is "flawed"; Sayid is not on the list because he is "weak and frightened"; and Locke is not on the list because he is angry.
Kate was on the list at the dock so we can only conclude that Mikhail was referring to another list. Because he was including their flaws as to reasons why they weren't on the list, one can only conclude that this is a list of the "good" ones and the "bad" ones. Also important is that Mikhail was implying that it was no big deal if the "bad" ones died. This obviously conflicts with the new candidate list and the "protect them at all costs" attitude Ilana had.
Since the show has taken yet another dramatic turn since the revealing of the candidate list AND the list includes some people not on the "good" people list, I can only surmise that the writers changed their minds (aka screwed up).
None of this is relevant now however. Just making a point.

I think it's kind of like how Uncle Stu used Charlie as an example a week or so ago about wanting a death wish. He's already dead in Parallel 1 so his death doesn't really matter in the Alternate. Same with John Locke, he's been dead. He's just clearing up the picture a bit.
Maybe he's trying to show Locke in this reality what the other reality is. Charlie didn't get it until he was nearly dying, and he claims the same happened for Desmond.

Didn't Sawyer see the kid in the earlier episode?
But Richard didn't.
I wonder what the significance is of Sawyer and Desmond being able to see him?

uncle stu and OMLandshark....what do you make of this??? is desmond really dead???
Locke survived the fall down the well, so Desmond could as well. Plus the well is narrow enough to where he could have grasped onto the sides. I seriously doubt Desmond is dead.

Decatur, looks like we were right. It was Boone.

John Locke is dead and no longer plays any role in plot development. That's been clear from the beginning of this season. Even if Locke remembers his constant wouldn't matter as there is no alternate side that connects with one specific moment/person. It's like looking into a mirror and waving but your shadow doesn't wave.
However, the Monster is currently using his form to where this may directly account for the Monster's defeat.

I'm a little let down. It doesn't explain how the voices were recorded during the autopsy of Charlotte Malkin...off the Island.

who was the little boy that MIB wanted desmond to ignore?
I'm guessing its himself being manifested through Jacob. My theory is that the boy in the Substitute is young Jacob and the boy in this episode is a young MIB.

2) What was in that green bag if Illanas!? As soon as Hurley saw it he said he knew that they had to blow up the plane. What was it?
Didn't catch that the first time, but I'm willing to bet those are Jacob's ashes.

Son of a bitch, I was looking through a list of remaining episodes and there is a week break in between the next two episodes.

When Ben was bitching and moaning to Jacob before he killed him, he mentioned that Jacob brought him a large number of slips of papers and lists, to where I seriously doubt the Candidates had much to do with those lists.

Didn't neccessarily state that they are trapped on the Island, just between planes right? They just can't move on. The Earth I think would technically be between heaven and hell.

Maybe so. I'll have to rewatch.
