Looney Tunes legend Mel Blanc doing a rapid fire of voices for two minutes...

Why voice-over actors still marvel over Blanc. He could do his characters, doing impressions of his other characters. And vice versa.

I wanted to divorce my wife at Hollywood Forever Cemetery when she didn't know who Mel Blanc was, and then still couldn't figure it out from the gravestone saying 'That's All Folks' and the carrots laid on top.

He should have been honored by the Academy with a lifetime achievement award.

Legend... Man I loved the old Looney Tunes

When I was a high-schooler, I had one of those big lists full of 100s of celebrity addresses, which autograph hounds used to write to folks for autographs. Never took too much advantage of it, but I did write a little fan letter to Mel Blanc. Received a nice color 8x10 singed, personalized photo of him, surrounded by cartoon characters he voiced. Still have it.
But I never really got into writing to celebrities all that much. I felt too silly and self-conscious. Only wrote to about ten or twelve names before I bailed on the endeavor. Still, I got autographs and nice responses from Phil Harris, Kay Kyser, Red Skelton, and a few others. But Mel Blanc was the first.

I'd be curious to see who would actually respond to a letter these days. Maybe the agency would

I got autographs from Wayne Gretzky, Brett Hull, and Patrick Roy. Sent them to the team offices.

Where can one watch the old, original, uncut Looney Tunes?

I believe it's Max (HBO/Max) that has a lot of them you can watch.
You can also grab some nice collections of them on DVD for fairly cheap. I have all six volumes of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection series on DVD. They are great and have just about all of the classic cartoons you'd want to see/own.
Looks like you can grab all six on Amazon for $68: Amazon. Found several 1-6 bundles on eBay for about $38.

My favorite example of Blanc's skill is an episode where Bugs and Daffy impersonate each other.
It sounds just as it should - the original voice putting on the affectations and mannerisms of the other voice. It's amazing.
I'll try to find the clip.

Whenever I need a little pickmeup I turn on Utube and watch some classic Foghorn Leghorn.
The ones where he fricks with the dog are my favorite, lifting his tail and smacking the cr@p out of him with a piece of wood.

Some others included that aren't in the clip:

still available on multiple services is the terrific Looney Tunes Show (produced in 2011-12), which features Bugs and Daffy as dysfunctional roommates in a classic sitcom format - first couple of episodes took a little time warming up to the premise, but by midseason they were nigh on perfect, not only with the characterizations but the meta sendups of TV comedy tropes
highly recommended
