You think they don't count that money, don't you?

You linked the Star Wars Franchise total revenue.

No. We are talking about Solo. The singular movie. It has not made money.

What?

No movie bases their evaluation of whether a single movie made money off of how the franchise has done throughout its history.

That makes no sense.

Also, does the franchise revenue include when it was pre-Disney Lucasfilms?

Then it means nothing.

That pre-Disney revenue is irrelevant to Disney.

It only mattered when they were purchasing it.

It has a yearly breakdown by revenue type.

What?

Ticket sales are not the only source of revenue for Solo.

And where is the revenue on those items that relate specifically to Solo?

The real pain will be felt for the third movie in the trilogy. It may be so bad, they may just scrap it. They wasted Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill on one piece of garbage and one dumpster fire. They basically concluded the story. Just put a bullet in it and start again with new characters.

if you can support the franchise after episode 8, you are no SW fan

I'll catch it on Netflix.

I am sure Solo is a fine film. If TLJ was a passable SW movie, I would have stood in line for the 1st showing.

It isn’t that.

It could be bad, but if they wouldn’t have called everyone racist or sexist for not liking it, I would have just chalked it up as a poor movie.

It was like their response to Ghostbusters.

They can just take their opinions and go to hell.

Probably. Have you made your employers billions?

Yeah, let's see. They paid $4B just to own the rights, then invested over a billion more in making 4 new movies

"Tell me Kathleen, how much above $5B have you made for the SW franchise? I'm sorry, how much? Well, $4.65B in tix sales isnt even getting us our initial investment back, now is it sugar tits?"

Another one?

Star Wars brings in a hell of a lot more than ticket sales...

It's odd that this is something that needs to be repeated.

I like Star Wars way too much to wait for Netflix. I'll see every SW film opening weekend.
