I'm in the mood to start a British show. Haven't seen one since the first season of Bodyguard. I've heard good things about both Broadchurch and Line of Duty. Which I be do you guys recommend?

Pretty different series, both entertaining. If you want more of a traditional cop show I’d go with Line of Duty.

But I’d watch The Tunnel on Amazon before both of them. Split English/French series, so some reading required.

They are both excellent. Broadchurch is more of an emotionally draining series.

Funny, my wife and I were discussing this last night since we are wrapping up Line of Duty

We both like Broadchurch better but they are both very good. I recommend watching both, I just enjoyed the story and characters more in Broadchurch

We got in a huge BBC kick over the past year and once you knock those out check out The Five, Happy Valley, and The Missing.

I haven’t watched Broadchurch yet. I’m on Season 5 of Line of Duty and I love it. I’ve watched almost the entire series this month.

Broadchurch is fantastic. But, as said, it can be emotionally draining. Just got the SO to start watching it this week and someone was definitely cutting onions in the room at the end of Season 1.

Endeavor is a PBS show with six seasons on Prime.

Prime Suspect is another PBS show with only one six episode season on Prime

The Fall is very good. It's a little slow, but still a damn good show.

Just finished the latest season of Bosch. So it actually makes sense to watch Broadchurch first and then Line of Duty just to mix things up a little I guess.

Broadchurch but if you haven’t watched Luther yet I would start with that series instead.

Is the only option to pay for Broadchurch via Prime?

Toast of London.

Is absolutely nothing like the others mentioned, just feel the need to recommend where possible.

I've been on a Brit kick too... The Five, The Stranger, and Safe. I often find myself confused when the detectives don't pull a gun. How ingrained is the detective's sidearm in our American psyches?

I need to check out line of duty. Broadchurch is awesome but emotionally draining and frustrating.. the British justice system is much different and can be very frustrating
