That was That only part that I found it a parody. Trust me, I wish the humor would stay with the droids. Porgs are just to sell merchandise, and the resistance was ran by a bunch of post menopausal women. There is a something missing that the original trilogy had. That being said, we need to stop trying to hold onto that. We will never achieve the kind of magic that we grew up with can never be achieved again.

Haven't seen it yet but can't really take the criticism seriously based on the particular TD posters triggered by this movie.

be Palpatine's daughter...or Luke turned out to be fairly broken after his failure with Ben Solo. Again, the direction they went wasn't expected by the internet trolls thus the crying. Anyone who thinks this movie was bad is sad because there wasn't enough pew pew. The story itself was good...

I’m nowhere near a big Star Wars Fan, but saw the last three movies all opening night, @ the same theater. - After TFA and Rogue One, there was a noticeably positive energy of everyone leaving the theater, discussing the movie. This movie was completely different, two screenings let out @ the same time, and everyone was like the walking dead leaving, zero enthusiasm, more head scratching than anything else.

Idk how anyone can think they’re going in a ‘new direction’ or ‘took Risks’ when @ the end, we’re basically full circle back to where things started in A New Hope w/ a rag tag group of Rebels who’s only reason for going forward is ‘Hope’? ... In 2.5 hours this movie just took a huge dump on every other movie that came before it.

The only good parts of the story was Rey and Kylo, and then the Snoke scenes & red room fight.

Did it have issues sure...but mostly people are butt hurt because the plot didn't go the direction they were hoping for.

The funny thing is, if people were honest, they would see all these same flaws in the original trilogy too. As I've gotten older and rewatched them over the years, I see all the questionable acting and plot holes that if that was all you focused on would make you hate those movies too.

uh, we had no point of reference in the OT. So we found out what was what, as the movies were released

This movie was like "Nah, we aint got time for any of that OT shite. We ridin' dirty"

Really? It seems that everyone in administrative roles in the Resistance are women, and everyone (save for Phasma) is male in the First Order.

Why does that bother you so much? That's the real question you should be asking yourself. Perhaps you are suffering from womb envy.

This is what I find so funny about all this. They see an "Asian woman" sacrificing herself for the greater good in this movie and scream "its SJW crap". Here's the deal though. This is a movie set a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. SHES NOT ASIAN!

There is no way an 8/10 can be supported when the entire first page has nothing but negative comments. No. It just means that others who hated it are upvoting the reviews by others who hated it. This is t rocket science people. The ones who love it write a review and move on with their lives. The ones who hated it are childish fricks who keep running back to it to make sure everybody agrees with them.

Greater Good? Finn was sacrificing himself for the Greater Good. Rose was such a stupid whore that she stupidly stopped him wanting his cock inside her, and in the process putting everyone else in certain mortal danger. Rose is a selfish whore who is a professional victim. Finn was being a hero thinking of others besides himself.

No, its Disney spending money to protect its investment. They have a Star Wars hotel coming, a Star Wars section in theme parks, rides, stage shows, another installment in this trilogy, and 2 more trilogies are slated

This movie could have been 2 hours of Rey and the Asian woman recreating two girls and a cup and it would not have killed or even put a dent in the Star Wars franchise.

That movie was not nearly as bad as people made it out to be. I'm not saying it was great, but it was worth watching once. I never expected it to capture me like the original did, nor did I go into it thinking it was going to be anything like the original.

Yeah that’s it. How about both sides are equal opportunity? Villains can do this as well. Like the Fire Nation in Avatar, despite being a genocidal nation, was the only nation that employed women and didn’t give a shite. How about you do something nice and complicated instead of condescending?

Actually it was. It has a Tomatometer ranking 77%, higher than Interstellar. Even people who hated Interstellar will say that is fricking insane. Let me allow Plinkett to carefullly explain to you how big of a POS that movie is. LINK

And if that’s not enough, here’s the initial review: Half in the Bag
