So were we supposed to connect that genetically modified food was the cause of the end of mutant births?

Lol I'm talking mainly about the family of black corn farmers.

Like what are the chances of running in a fam of three in Oklahoma?

Like I said, I felt that just felt super forced and pretty obvious what the intention was there.

It was a great movie though. Was everything I hoped it would be.

Yeah, in just a couple of years the Xavier School is gone, the mutants have been hunted to near extinction, and Xavier is a mental invalid.

I think what happened was one of Xavier's seizures pretty much wiped out all the X-Men at the very least, possibly other mutants as well, but it was never explicitly stated.

According to the timelines though, mutant births had already stopped prior to DoFP.

Ummm, maybe because of the 10 minute segment about fricking his girlfriend for every holiday, proposed with an engagement ring pop the was stuck up his arse, masturbated to a stuffed unicorn with his baby hand and went looking for his gf in a strip club. None of which was violent, but all of which was inappropriate for a 10 year old. Does it make sense now?

Blood, guts, foul language and dismemberment are okay for a 10-year-old.

Sexual themes???????

2039 might have been more believable

Maybe that would've made Prof X too old though

With superheroes and mutants, it's usually a given that some of them live longer than normal folk.

Speaking of the black family, Darryl from Coming to America was the dad

Saw it today. That's how all "comic book" movies should be made. I thought it was fantastic

ETA I've never paid to see a movie more than 1x in theaters but I may go see this one again.

Got it, sex is bad, but chopping up people in insanely graphic ways is fine.

Can those that have seen it tell me why it's R?

I have a ten year old and debating taking him. Deadpool was obviously a no go.

But if this is just R because of language and crazy gore violence I'll take him.

This is not a great movie to take a 10 year. It's not comic book violent its legit War Movie violent but with children and old people as victims as well.

Hell, they just fricked up Singer's Days of Future Past happy ending with this Logan movie. They just want good plots and characters that get people into the theaters.

Thank you. This is what I noticed. DoFP ended in 2024 and Logan took place in 2029. Something big must have went down in that 5 year span.

Could this have been what Professor X was alluding to though (West Chester or whatever place) You know the reason Logan was keeping him drugged up. That migraine/seizure that Xavier was having that killed 600 people. Did Xavier wipe out all of the mutants by accident because his brain was going to shite?

Solid fricking movie

I tear up in movies from time to time but rarely do those tears roll down my cheeks. That happened at the end of this film. As soon as she said "daddy" those tears went a rollin'.

Logan is easily the best Marvel movie to date.

What was Charles telling Logan to find right before he died?

I think the doctor at the end of the movie told Logan he had been putting something in food, ect that wiped out mutants. Maybe I'm wrong

wait, I thought your type was already boycotting hollywood for their liberal agenda and causing their sales to plummet. Why'd you go see this then, traitor?

My only complaint right now is that I thought Pierce's death was kind of lame.

Agree with you there. I liked the movie a lot, but the whole Zander Rice stuff felt tacked on and I wished for a better comeuppance for Pierce. Then again this wasn't really a 'villain' superhero movie if you know what I mean.

Just got back from the 10:30 pm showtime, plus drinks before and after. That little girl is going to be a good actress. She reminded me of the first time I saw Natalie Portman in The Professional. Good movie. Played out exactly like I thought it was going to. Loved the Deadpool trailer too!
