What does him being a good dude have to do with thinking if he's funny or not?

JAmes Earl Jones is like 90 years old. Lock him in a room, let him know out all of the necessary Star Wars material and now Lion King asap!

The Will Smith as Genie news was far worse, IMO.

While being a beautiful movie, Favreau didn't really have much of an emphasis on the musical numbers in The Jungle Book. That appears to be the case with The Lion King as well. Disappointing, IMO.

Who in the fricking frick is Billy Eichner? Seriously who is this clown? Even though I do like Seth Rogan, this sounds like a GIGANTIC disaster.

Will we be getting any Seth Rogen-Pumbaa-stoner references in this remake?

Eichner is the guy who nearly ruined the later seasons of Parks and Rec

i hated him on first watch. but i recently re-watched and his character at times is actually half decent, especially once he tames down a little in later episodes he's in.

He was in talks last I heard. Kevin Hart was also approached at one point. I'm also not thrilled about that, but at least Hart has legit comedic talent. At least IMO. Either way, I'm not too thrilled about the direction of the Aladdin movie.

As I recently watch TLK, this seems like a decent decision. They will definitely stand out and be loud, which is basically all timon and pumba are.
