Just prepare yourselves now for the plot to be Riggs and Murtaugh getting iced early and Riggs' kid and Murtaugh's grandkid (born at the end of IV and presumably in their mid 20s by the time of the movie) taking over in the hopes of softly rebooting the franchise.
