It is truly said the state movies and tv shows are in where we have to worry about shite like this. You would think when you have millions of dollars on the line you would leave all this bullshite out of it but after snow white I don't trust anything in this world anymore.

Sometimes I think a few people on the insides goal is to sabotage all these films and try and lose money.

The Japanese, and even more specifically Nintendo, won't play that game.

Have faith.

The next one also releases in 2027 so that probably rules out Wes Ball from directing both.

I’d like to see them attempt it with a silent Link since they could never do the real dream and adapt Majora's Mask.

If they wanted to stay true to the games they'll make half the movie about Link getting stuck in that goddamn water temple

I'm most familiar with Link to the Past and Ocarina which are essentially the same thing, but I always thought they could pull of silent Link just based on the number of supporting characters who can drive the narrative in between dungeons. Navi was always annoying but she might actually be the reason this would work.

I'd personally want to see a silent Link and a story leaning heavily on the lore. Wouldn't have to be a particular game.

Zelda was one of my favorites growing up so like others said, please just don't screw this up.

They don’t seem keen to crap all over their IP and know that remaining true to the source material is the play.
At least better than most others, let’s hope this trend continues

So is Link going to be silent, or no?

They brought in tiresome popcorn movie types to write and direct this thing, so even though silent Link would be perfect, it's doubtful. Not holding out high hopes for this one.

No in-between.

Yep, I’d honestly welcome something from Illumination instead of a live-action adaptation. Mario Bros was just done so well. I’m cautiously optimistic since Nintendo/Japan is in charge (a good thing).

I think I would still prefer an animated Zelda movie, but I'm excited for this.

I guess they feel the Zelda world is more mature, in line with say a Lord of the Rings style presentation.
