Started off great, then about two-thirds of the way thru it imploded. I started off loving Gerard Butler's character, then he went off the deep end. And the twist was so implausible, I couldn't roll my eyes hard enough.

Same here. Saw it for the first time this weekend. Good flick.

*Spoiler*

Really wish his character hadn't been made so unlikeable in the end.

Everyone and their mother has told me about this movie and how awesome it is. I keep up with movies pretty closely and I never knew it even existed. I never heard when it came out either.

I still don't know if I should see it or not.

Sucker Punch knew it was over the top. Law Abiding Citizen thought it was being real.

And like I said, SP is not a good movie, but I thought it was fun. LAC stopped being fun somewhere in the middle.

I liked the premise but it quickly went off the rails.

I decided not to see it when in the trailer Butler says, "It's going to be Biblical."

Some epic writing right there.

You didn't see a movie because of one over-the-top quote you saw in a trailer? Come on, man. It's actually a decent movie.

This. I'm not sure why people think it's so badass. He was wrecklessly killing innocent people all to prove a point. I found it extremely hard to "root for" Butler's character at all, since he was a psycho.

And also, I agree that the whole angle of him being able to waltz in and out of prison at will was stupid and completely unbelievable.

It was tough to "root for" Butler but still the lengths he was willing to go in order to prove the point made the movie more interesting. It kept me thinking, what is he going to do next?

Because of Butler's methods, he did become hard to like towards the end. But I also wasn't very fond of Jamie Fox's character either.

I loved this movie.. The twist at the end was awesome.. however this is a one time watch movie, after knowing how it ends, its just not the same watching it again.

I think I'll watch it for the first two-thirds then. Enough people here liked it to warrent a watch and the guys who saw it and didn't like it say it was good through 2/3rds.
