Mine would have to be the son's skanky unibrow girlfriend.

For anyone halfway familiar with the oilfield, this show is borderline unwatchable...just when I think I can't take anymore, Tommy's dad has a "therapy" session. I hang on a little longer.

I still watch it because the entertainment can be electric, but I’m not under any delusions that this is some great show anymore. S2 writing has fallen off a cliff now

Too bad that scene wasn't filed in the MC for better authenticity.

If they do another nursing home scene to waste an episode it may be it for me. Or jump on a private jet. The writing has gotten so lazy a few times I thought I was mistakenly watching an earlier episode. And I’m guessing the casino has a max bet so you can’t just keep doubling your bet.

God damn dude you have like 8 posts in this thread and they’re all about how you hate the Mexican fiancée. We get it you hate Mexicans.
There’s a reason why no one is responding to you.
In reading most of the thread, I think Gallinos plan the whole time was to get in bed with MTex and eventually force Cami out in order to take over the company and become more legitimate. Should that happen I think he brings Tommy back because he knows Tommy can run it much better than anyone else.
Cami gets her $200M+
Son hits for MTex and eventually gets a deal made where he goes out on his own and makes the money he should have initially. Marries the smoking hot, crazy Latina and they live happily ever after.
Boss doesn’t die.

Finally someone who isn’t misery watching the show claiming they know better writing without an ounce of real creativity in their bones.
I’m guessing you actually watch and listen instead of scrolling on your phone or stare up your own arse unlike some of the mouthbreathers here.

I know squat about the oil industry so I can’t comment on its accuracy or the realism portrayed in the show.
Someone else in the thread posted about suspending reality a little and enjoying the show for what it is, and that’s spot on. Same with Tulsa King, if you can do that the show is enjoyable.
Regarding Tommy having no money that he’s fired, he should have a shitload being the head of operations for years and being president for a short time. Especially since he’s living in a house MTex most likely owns and driving a truck they own. His wife has a $300K Bentley that her ex paid for so he didn’t buy that either. He’s already said he lost everything once and I doubt he’ll let that happen again.
There are a lot of good posts in the thread among the people hate watching. But I understand why the do, the show started out really good and starts to go a little more off the rails as it progressed. They can’t all be Band of Brothers. And the wife and daughter get screen time to keep the wives watching. If it were all oil operations with no drama the show wouldn’t be as popular as it is.

Yeah I don’t want or care for the show to go into a deep dive on the ins and outs of the oil industry in west Texas. That’s documentary stuff. This is still a scripted series for entertainment.

Yup. Exactly why I enjoy Tulsa King. It’s all fictional anyways.

Yup. Pretty sure his contract is going to have a sizable severance clause of some sort in it and Cami doesn’t exactly seem like the bright reasonable mind who would know those details considering how little she knows about the oil business or hell business in general.
Tommy would be fine. He would have a Landman position at any number of companies within weeks. MTex needs him more than he needs MTex.

Yup. People still think Taylor Sheridan writes and directs every episode on the series when he is just the showrunner. He probably sits down with the show writers once or twice, gives them an overview of what he wants to happen, they give him scripts, he gives them the once over and that’s it for him until the next season’s planning months later.

I’m also not ruling out that Cami fired him for a reason, be it to protect him or something else, especially since it happened right at the end of an episode.
Posted on 1/17/26 at 1:19 pm to CaptainsWafer
Cami got on a cocktail of SSRIs and it got her making erratic decisions.
Posted on 1/17/26 at 4:10 pm to TheePalmetto
Season 2 did get a little bit too soapy.

That video is bullshite & AI. BBT has stated as much & said there's a lot more story to tell.
S2 was necessary & the final ep makes it clear. Some may or may not like the new direction but Tommy ain't going anywhere especially after the deal he made.
Except for the cheerleader bullshite, I think S3 will be better & more character driven, retaining the good characters.

The finale was well done, much better than earlier episodes. It has me already looking forward to S3.
