I am sure Greg Daniels and Mike Judge will murder me for sharing this but... HELL YES," Forrester said when asked if he'd heard any updates about the show being revived. "They are in hot negotiations to bring back King of the Hill. The Trump administration made it suddenly very relevant again. The characters have all aged 15 years. The project is sooooo good. Okay I've said too much :)".

Forrester was consulting producer on 22 episodes of King of the Hill, and wrote the episode 'Peggy's Turtle Song'.

If there's such a thing as a bad KOTH episode, this episode is a lock for bottom 3.

King of the Hill was a great show but I’m not sure if it could survive today. There definitely aren’t too many Texans today who can still relate to Hank and the guys.

That means Bobby and the other kids will be almost 30. Don't know if I can picture that.

Also, no more Luanne and Lucky

I'm afraid in today's society of political correctness and cancel culture the show will not have the punch it used to.

And if any episodes brought up anything they could twist as controversial they would cancel the old show as well as the new one

If anything it’s progressives that made it more relevant today. Hank is supposed to represent a small town every man who is dealing with changes in culture and values and that was 15 years ago. What makes it funny is his traditional values juxtaposed with fad/changing views. Hank hills views are what got Donald trump elected therefore there is no contrast. Contrast is what makes the show funny.

Hank hill being relevant with the Biden administration and today’s way over the top progressive values makes sense

Hank Hill also shite on the Bush family multiple times and praised LBJ as a real Texan. He named his dog lady bird

He was undoubtedly a Blue Dog Dem

To play off of that if they felt they HAD to go political with low hanging fruit in the context of the show they could have hank show up at a local rally for the democrat because that’s what he had always done and then it’s a Beto type saying “damn right I’m going to take your guns” green energy etc

Hill showing up at a Trump rally wouldn’t make sense or be funny because all it would be would be a replay of the opening scene of the four guys standing in the crowd instead of the alley drinking beer and saying yep uhhhm hmm alright agreeing with everything he said

While some purple headed transgender harpy screams in his face that he's a white oppressor.

Hank: "What the hell?"

I for one would love to see Hank's take on the extreme left that rose to power in reaction to Trump. And Dale Dribble dealing with half of the nation co-opting his conspiracy theorist lifestyle and making him "normal".

We'll always have the original. And rediscovering KOTH in my mid-20's with a little more perspective on every day life continues to be an eternal blessing.

I do.

Mike Judge/Greg Daniels are geniuses and will do this justice.
