Kieran Culkin, Bob Odenkirk and Bill Burr will star in the upcoming revival of David Mamet’s lauded play “Glengarry Glen Ross.”
The production is scheduled to open on Broadway in the spring of 2025.

Culkin, the Emmy-winning star of HBO’s “Succession,” is playing the office’s top closer Richard Roma (portrayed by Joe Mantegna in the original Broadway production and Al Pacino in the 1992 movie). Odenkirk, best known for “Better Call Saul” and “Breaking Bad,” is playing the once-powerful peddler Shelly Levene (portrayed by Robert Prosky in the original Broadway production and Jack Lemmon in the 1992 movie). Burr, a comedian who also starred in “The King of Staten Island” with Pete Davidson, is playing the scheming big-mouthed salesman Dave Moss (portrayed by James Tolkan in the original Broadway production and Ed Harris in the 1992 movie). Culkin has performed on Broadway before in Kenneth Lonergan’s “This Is Our Youth” with Michael Cera, while Odenkirk and Burr will be making their Broadway debuts.

i'm just getting ahead of it
But real talk, thinking about those actors and who played their roles in the movies.....it's not bad. I know it was a play first so they honestly could do whatever they want with it.

Fingers crossed they film a couple of nights and put it on HBO or show it in theaters as one of those live Broadway events.
And boy Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman ain't too far removed from Shelly Levene. A sweaty kind of Midwest hustler....

Will they add the Baldwin speech into the play?

It would be a shame if they didn't

Pierce would absolutely crush the Alec Baldwin role

Put LaKeith Stanfield on that list too.

Struggling to make sales, Dave Moss is furious about the sales contest. As an act of revenge against the company's management, he plots the robbery and convinces Levene to carry it out.
Burr has spent more time on stages than his two co-stars put together. Perfect casting if you ask me.

As a comedian but not an actor. I think it’ll be amazing but let’s back up in thinking burr is an actor, right?

Burr was pretty good in Mandalorian.

Exactly. Dude has never acted in his life. Now, can’t they make this work with him just being himself? It’s very possible, but to think this dude will suddenly turn into an actor is crazy to think, imo. It’s a huge gamble to see if he can deliver home what Mamet was intending and in my opinion, he will not be able to do so. Months after the premiere, I’d bet you that is the main criticism from this production. That being said, I do want to see it and am hopeful Broadway doesn’t hide behind their normal bullshite in never recording any live performance. It’s honestly infuriating that sometimes the only way to see any performance is through someone sneaking a camera in to capture the live performance. Why in the world would you ever want to curtail people enjoying something that apparently is good? Makes no sense.

I think he'll do okay in this role. And this is stage, so more in his natural element than film/TV.

He was pretty great in limited time on Breaking Bad.
