I don't think his work in seven was all that impressive. It wasn't bad, but he really didnt have to act much. At least not a wide range. In fact, every line was straight forwars and emotionless. I liked the movie and his character, but there really wasn't much he could do with it. I feel his acting skills are better illustrated in many of his other movies.

Not that it matters but rumors of his sexuality have been around for years.
He is a great actor and is performances in Usual Suspects and American Beauty are incredible.

I liked and disliked House of Cards. I watched every episode on Netflix and found some long and drawn out while others filled with interesting dialogue.

Wonderful actor that never did enough. He has some great roles, and a decent range, but not enough truly original performances to be great.

He is older than Clift was at his prime. Clift is one of the most under appreciated actors of all time. He was great on stage as well as film.
