Holy crap, how was this movie not a bigger commercial success? It was one of the best animated movies, I've ever seen. I was 18 when it came out so I missed it over the years. Fantastic movie that I'm sure many on here probably already appreciate.

My five year old nephew and I watched it this summer and he loved it. He wants to watch it every time he comes over

It's one of my favorite animated films from my childhood. Unfortunately, so many classic movies from the '90s are overshadowed by Pixar and Disney releases.

Parents get on that Pixar/Disney train and force feed those to their kids and ignore all of the other options. It's a shame since we've had a ton of great animated films since the late 80's.

i went ahead and went back on the dvd program from netflix.
the kids and I have been making it through this list:

good list of movies for kids

Great list with karate kid, goonies, sandlot, etc.

My kids were little when it came out so I've seen it many times, a real classic.

Check out James and the Giant Peach.

I was in college when it came out so I didn't see it until several years later. It's a great one. Very popular on this board, despite a couple whiners on this thread.
