Just watched Oppenheimer and I’m totally disgusted.

What a pure shite show of a production. The fricking audio is crap. Why do actors whisper and talk under breath? You are not adding more drama and you are taking away from the story because I’m contemplating turning on CC the entire time. And not only are the actors whispering and talking under their breath the sound production crew mixes in the background music adding to the difficulty of hearing spoken word.
I had high expectations and was looking forward to the movie. I’m totally disappointed.

Yeah I wasn’t a fan in sound mixing in many Nolan films but didnt have an issue here. I feel this is a you problem.

Nah, I saw it in the theater and the sound was fine. Nolan certainly has made films with very hard to hear dialogue but this one wasn’t one of them.

The fact that you *tried* to critique a Christopher Nolan movie after seeing it on an (at best) 7-channel TV sound system instead of in a professionally calibrated movie theater limits your credibility to an absolute zero.

I left the movie feeling the exact same way you just described. In fact, there was a good 20 minutes where I just dosed off on the theater.
Was it a good movie? I guess but I thought it was extremely boring and annoying and very difficult to understand anything
