So much anger in you over someone asking if others think the show gets better after the first episode. It is confirmed; you are a miserable person desperately seeking attention.

You seem desperate to give me the attention but don’t have anything of merit to add as a rebuttal

The dance scene in episode one was pretty legit.

Would be nice to get some backstory on the chimp.

I gotta say, I thought the chimp was going to take a very predictable path, but he ended up pretty much opposite of the direction I thought he was heading.

I figured I had it pegged where he came from, but now we'll need some back story.

I'm like three and a half episodes in, still not exactly sure what I'm watching, or where they're going with it.

Really liked it. Had some slow spots, but the ending really has me looking forward to another season.

Why did Ben age?

Just finished it, loved it thru 9.99 episodes, hated the ending. Really need to do something to fix the plot armor

Ellen Page is in it dude .... yeah, it’s probably not going to improve much.

I'm not a fan of her at all either. I liked the first episode but I can already tell her story arc. Nothing is special about her then we find out she is the most special of them all and the father knew the whole time. She's like the heart ring kid from Captain Planet.

Yeah, the ending is not for everyone. I don't want to say to o much but I did like that Five tried to fix everything and what he did sets up season 2.

Time travel always gets caught up in its own a-hole, but I thought they had basically closed the loophole when he went back the last time. But then they doubled down on it and I was like well wtf

Anyone recognize Kemper from Mindhunter is in this? It may take 2 episodes, but it'll sink in.

The other detective (bald guy, glasses) slipped him a key (it was pretty obvious but if you were distracted for a second or three it would be easy to miss).

I binged the whole thing yesterday while the weather was almost as shitty as I was feeling.

***** Warning: HERE THERE BE SPOILERS *****

Interesting premise for a series. I can't help but wonder what came of the other kids (the ones Hargreeves didn't get).

Notes & Critiques:
--There were a few points where people found each other that left me with "WTF" moments (like Allison finding Vanya on the street when she was out looking for her to tell her about the family meeting).

--Time travel is a bitch. They did some interesting things with it with #5's return though.

--The actor that played #5 did an incredible job of coming across as a much older person. I was a bit annoyed at times though on how the writing seemed to give him incredible skill with his powers (fight seen in the doughnut shop) and at other times he was unable to use them in an as effective manner (the department store fight, the final fight at the theater).

--Hargreeves story is somewhat explained at the end, just wish they had delved into it a little more.

--Where the frick did Pogo come from? We never got even a hint of his back story.

--Ellen Page is slowly morphing into Janeane Garofalo.

--If Hargreeves had not killed himself in order to bring everyone together to stop the apocalypse, the apocalypse would never have happened.

--Luthor should have consistently been much stronger (like #5, the writers seemed to play with his power levels too much).

--Klaus was by far the most entertaining character.

--Ellen Page's combination of deadpan emoting and sadness were perfect for the Vanya character.

All in all it was pretty decent. It was just quirky enough without being overly so to keep my attention through most of it. I might check it out a season 2 if one comes out, but it won't be on my "OMFG I GOTTA WATCH IT NOWWW" list.

I liked it, binged it yesterday.

Wish we would have gotten a flashback/backstory on Ben and how he died. Also agree a quick backstory on Pogo would also be nice since we did learn how Grace comes to be made.

SPOILERS:

In the next season...since they are all younger...wonder if it is before Ben dies...and do they also try to prevent his death. Also...how come Ben's ghost is the same age as the rest of them...they make it seem like he dies young.

Overall...liked it and will check out season 2. Didn't realize the singer from My Chemical Romance wrote the comics.

MORE SPOILER TALK

I believe so since he seemed to actually appear (his hand was physically on Klaus' and someone else's shoulders) when they all de-aged.

That's a good question that many have asked in this thread, I wondered that when watching it as well. I can't help but think it was just an oversight by the writers since Dave did not age when he appeared.

Another question I have is why was it so hard for Klaus to contact their father and Dave yet Ben was tied to him like they were Siamese twins?

It’s the most anti-democracy series ever. Anytime a character begins to make sense, they are outvoted and bad shite happens. There are so many bad decisions made by all. Ellen Page isn’t likable and neither is Vanya. Klaus is funny. Allison seams the most normal.

Ben isn’t dead. He’s 1/2 in another dimension.
