Starting the last season today and honestly this is a show that makes you grateful to watch it all back to back and not have to wait a week between episodes and a year between seasons That was a lot of the fun though.

Yep. I would spend hours on fan theory pages. That shite got in depth to an extreme :lol

I absolutely loved this character. Made me a fan of the actor.

It wasn't just the ending, though it was spectacularly bad, the whole final season sucked. Some people may have misinterpreted the ending, but even that doesn't mean they weren't justified in disliking the ending and the final season/boatloads of questions that weren't answered. Doesn't change the fact that you were strung along with red herrings for multiple seasons with no answers.

I know there are still big defenders of it but the ending ruined the show for me. Looking back on it, it ruined it worse than Game of Thrones. I swore off Game of Thrones forever but a year or so ago I went back and reluctantly rewatched it. I hate watched the final three seasons but I rewatched it. I tried to do that with LOST but stopped after the second season because I just kept thinking about how bad the ending was and how much of the stuff was b.s.

I say this as a very big Lindelof fan. And the ending didn't take away from the fun had while the show was running and the discussions each week.

Lost is a great series and a terrific rewatch. The character development is phenomenal. The writers get lost chasing their own tail sometimes, but you can blame that on ABC. Lindelof himself will tell you ABC never wanted the show to end, it was so popular. That put the writers in a bind to come up with stuff that they didn't necessarily want to and finally had to tell ABC, the show is going to end, regardless of your executive wallets.

Save for Eko being preliminarily killed off due to the actor hating Hawaii
I thought he was pretty much hated on set even though his character was awesome to the audience. Or maybe I'm misremembering?

I guess we've somehow never talked about LOST

Yea I can't really argue with any of that except the first sentence. The executives screwing them over is unfortunate and I still like Lindelof. I'll always be a fan simply because of The Leftovers. I haven't really ever tried to convince someone that LOST isn't a good show. If someone enjoys it, that is great. It was just a very frustrating final season/finale/climax for me. Especially when you invest that much time into a show, it makes it all the worse. I thoroughly did not enjoy the end, so much so that it is just not rewatchable to me. If you would have told me that after the third season that I'd end up never watching this show again, I wouldn't have believed you.

If I get a few more minutes later today I'll go into more detail just for a debates sake

Alright just for yall whe I'm done with the series I currently have lined up I'll pick back up in season 2 of my re-watch where I left off a year or so ago. See if I can make it to the end and maybe have a different opinion.

It was both. Terry O’Quinn fricking hated him with a passion and working alongside him. Michael Emerson is one of Terry’s best friend’s though, and a big reason anytime they were on screen together was just magic.

On episode 4 last season. So sayid just came back to life. Sorry I’m not really able to “binge” with my schedule so I usually get 1 episode every day or two.

Ill defend LOST till I die. It was the first show I TIVO'd and would pause and look up fan theories.

There is a scene with Kate and Jack on of the season finales that was a jaw dropper that I had trouble sleeping.

I loved the ending and even the "bad" seasons. A bad episode of LOST IMO was better than 90% of the stuff on TV.

FYI if you like LOST I recommend the Leftovers on HBO. One of the GOATs

I am a major LOST fan but haven't seen it in ages. It's probably been at least 10 years since I've seen an episode.

I'd never seen the Leftovers until I heard enough good things abotu it finally wanted to see what the fuss was about so watched that whole series very recently, I think like two or three months ago.

IMO, LOST is far superior. Granted it's much easier to digest because it's MUCH shorter so that's nice, I suppose.

Also, without getting into spoilers, if anyone out there claims LOST gets negative points and isn't rewatchable and sucked at the end for not answering every question, they damn well better also have the same talking points about the leftovers.

The Leftovers is terrific.

You have to enjoy the weird though. It's definitely not for everyone, but if you enjoy supernatural and existential mind-bending shows, you'll probably like it. It's the reason I like Lost, Severance, etc. It's in that wheelhouse to me.
