No fricking way you just actually used the term NPC?

Don't even engage with that guy. It's not worth anyone's time.

Except I'm not. Not even a little. How can you claim something is 'literal' when you have no clue who I am, or what I look like? Again, NPC responses by virtue signaling clowns eager to suck down new content.

You would pay good money to suck off the nerdrotic guy or whatever the hell his name is. 90% of the opinions you have on something on here is just whatever his opinion is. You were actually bragging on here a few weeks ago about viewing something different from your overlordlike that was some big feat to be commended. If there's anybody on this board that can't think for themselves, it's you.

How'd you end up liking the purposefully race and gender swapped show Foundation? It's ok to like that at long as you don't know the source right?

Glad to hear Timmy did a good job. That's not an easy role to play considering Gene Wilder so embodied the character. I'm not sure there has ever been another person walking the earth that would have been a better willy wonka than Gene Wilder

Whoever told you that projecting your personal homoerotic fantasies onto others was a winning argument lied. .

You know of nothing about what you speak.

*ETA - and regarding Foundation, I explained it all in that thread. Run and go search if you want to know, I'm not repeating myself here.

Took my daughter to see this last night and we both loved it. I'm not usually a musical type of guy, in fact I hate most of them. But this is the second one I've really enjoyed (after GDT's Pinochio last year). Have I caught teh ghey?

I'm pretty sure they only mentioned him and the company.

Maybe I'm an idiot, though.

Slugworth has a major role in the original Willy Wonka, he is in several scenes throughout the movie, and also at the very end, he is an old grumpy white guy with glasses

I don’t know why they wanted to make him black in this one

So I disagree with the OP that this film is not woke

Sounds like the film is adhering to the new Woke Gestapo code of 'muh representation' crap, which is sad. Real movies like Godzilla Minus One and Oppenheimer stuck to good story telling, at least.

Are you talking about the guy that they make the point of revealing is not Slugworth?

No giants here. Just a bunch of windmills.

Yea I’m not trying to win an argument. The record amount of downvotes you get on here lets you know that’s hard to do. You just need to be told how dumb you are from time to time, that’s all I was doing.

Record? You mean the three or four snowflakes who routinely down vote no matter what I post? Oh boy, that’s ever so devastating.

Instead of relying on facts, you look to a few cowards hiding behind DV arrows?

Pathetic.,

Musical numbers but doesn’t feel like a musical if that makes any sense?

It’s not the original Charlie and the chocolate factory.

And Timothy Chalamet (again, sp?) is no gene wilder, but it was a nice magical bridge between my generation and my kids.

My kids now want to see the gene wilder version whereas before they showed no interest.

So if at the very worst, we paid $45 for a gateway drug to the Gene Wilder version, then it was worth it IMO.

Bumping this to remind people to go see this film. It is absolutely delightful and deserves to be rewarded.
