Amazing show. This might be the best thing I've watched this year.
Lots of great actors in this I had forgotten about.

The nostalgia is strong with this one.

A must for any fan of WWII aviation. Great show with a fantastic cast and opening theme song. A lot of the cast have passed on; Conrad, Jeff McKay, Robert Ginty, Red West, Dana Elcar. High production costs killed the show.
Every time I see a Bull Terrier, I automatically call it “Meatball” :)

Longest running tv show of all time, per Jeopardy of the future.

Of course the cast was huge, but one of the best (probably THE best "large") ensemble casts of that era when film actors looked "down" on television actors.
James Whitmore, Jr. (Gutterman), Hollywood royalty, went on to become a top tier television director.
Larry Manetti (Bobby Boyle) went on be one of Magnum's sidekicks in Hawaii - true story - Larry Manetti and Robert Conrad (Pappy Boyington) were very good friends with Anthony and Michael Spilotro, Vegas gangsters whose stories film fans know best from the Scorcese film, Casino. (Pesci's character, Nicky Santoro was based on Anthony Spilotro, and he and his brother's murder were depicted in the film). Michael (a minor character named Dominic Santoro in Casino) tried to break into acting and Conrad and Manetti got him a few gigs, including at least one on Magnum.

One of my favorites when I was a kid.
I'm a little unclear on where you found it. Did you just rip from DVDs?

Stephen J. Cannell (Creator of BBB Sheep), Glen A. Larson and later Donald P. Bellisario, were all runnin' buddies. They worked on each others' shows and shared the same stock casts. That's why you had Tom Selleck and James Whitmore Jr. on Rockford as recurring characters before they resurface on Black Sheep, Magnum, Quantum Leap, etc. Manneti was all over those series as well.

"DOYLE?"
Are you confusing "Pappy" Boyington (Robert Conrad) and "Popeye" Doyle (Gene Hackman in The French Connection)?
BTW, I do remember watching that race...

TV Greatness
I would be remiss if I didn't point out that Lynda Carter in a swimsuit is featured in a BOTNS YouTube video.
