I’m an hour in (downloaded online) and it’s astonishing how little has happened thus far. Movie is only two hours I have no idea how they tie this together.

Did SFP’s popcorn come with ketamine? I’m so bored

To follow up, it’s less cheesy than the last installment but maybe 1/3 of the action. Kind of shocking how few people died and thought there would be a surprise Dino or two. The trailer basically shows you every dinosaur you’re going to see

I’m just now reading the previous posts…I’m completely with you. It was astonishing how boring the movie was a lot of the previous installments were weak but they were hardly ever boring. I found myself checking my computer to see how much time was left and was in awe the movie was already halfway over.

I already went to the movies recently to see 28 years later so relieved I didn’t go back for this

Why R? The franchise is built on the Spielbergian sense of wonder and children in peril, and those things do better in a package that is accessible to adolescents. Would JP be better as a full-gore monster horror? That's hard to imagine.

Well Spielberg wasn't directing ... therein lies the problem. I think people are bored enough of the same beats. You're never going to top the original. Buts it's dinosaurs chasing and eating people at the end of the day. You try to lean in to some advanced plot, you usually get something goofy like the previous 2 films.

This premise was solid, had GREAT action ideas, but was NOT scary or suspenseful, the actors didn't really do much to sell the fear factor either. I don't think I remember one character screaming, that's what gave the first one its edge.

Isn't this a filmmaker problem that wouldn't necessarily be fixed by making the films rated R?

I enjoyed it for the most part ...wish dinosaurs had more screen time esp spinos and t rex....trailers pretty much showed the whole movie

Also, she does appease horns idiots like him. She just does it when she thinks the role is otherwise interesting and is coming from a filmmaker she respects and wants to work with. He's mad that she'd dare say she doesn't have to take every bs role that comes her way.

SEK actively wants to distort the context and actual words of the interview because he wants something to bitch about. He hasn't been able to get the engagement he craves from his Ironheart tirades (except from Madking, of course).

After earning $30 million on its opening day, the film added $25.3 million from 4,063 locations on Thursday to bring its total to $55.3 million heading into the weekend proper.

Trades had it doing 110-120 for the 5 day. It's looking like it can do over 150 now. Audiences love the dinos.

Disney executives are starting to get the picture. Here is a not terrible article that mentions Elio was originally a fig until Disney execs stepped in and said frick that shite. Director quit over it etc.

So if I read the article correctly Elio bombed because he wasn’t queer anymore and America was upset that there was no Latinx representation in leadership?

I don’t understand how these studios will make movies directed at a small percentage of the population then gets shocked when it bombs.

Just got out. My kid dragged me to it. I was dreading it because I straight hated the last few movies.

This one was not too bad. It gets a B grade from me. I actually liked the slower pacing and not overdoing the action scenes. Got to enjoy the scenery a bit.

Shocking how poorly JP3 did in the box office. I saw it as a kid and loved the spinosaurus being the big bad, even though it’s almost completely against the modern understanding of that dinosaur

I love the dinosaurs and don’t expect a lot. I want this movie to be solid, and seems like it is based on the reviews. Ditched most of the crap and stuck to the baseline

So will the next James Bond have a beer belly and look like Ron Howard's inbred brother? Is Scar gonna go full retard and protest when they cast a handsome dude?

If anything stretches believability more than genetically engineered dinosaurs, it's a 120 pound, 5'2 girl somehow being the 'alpha' over guys who could steamroll her without breaking a sweat. So yeah, let's hire her because she's a real bAd arse!

It was an alright monster movie. The main Dino was kinda lame. Basically a mutated Bella Ramsey.

I enjoyed it. The series needed a refresh/reboot.

Didn’t really see the need for the sailboat family injected into the film.

They main bunch who had their mission could have done just fine.

Distortus Rex was an awesome villain. A T-Rex and Beluga whale hybrid.
