One of the few movies that did justice to the book that spawned it.

i will argue that much like Forest Gump, the film interpretation was better than a direct adaptation would have been.

I just finished the first book.

Book #2 is a pretty significant drop in quality. Loved the first book but could barely finish The Lost World.

How else are we going to get dinosaurs in modern day?

crap happens and they get loose, panic and chaos ensue

Maybe it's just me, but these movies would have been A LOT more boring if the dinosaurs never got out and caused panic and chaos.

some people die/some live

Well, yea. It's a movie about dinosaurs.

It would be pretty difficult to come up with an interesting movie plot involving dinosaurs in a modern day setting without these things.

My generation got the best deal because we were ten years old watching Jurassic Park in the theatre when it was released.

That will never be replicated.

Modern Hollywood would cast the T-Rex as a trans vegan. It’d be a fricking literal Tranny-saurus Rex and they’d then tell us why we are wrong for not watching it.

Spielberg gender swapped the roles of kids to make the girl the computer expert when in the books it was the boy. She was a Mary Sue /s

The dinosaurs being "trans" was a pretty major plot point in the book and the movie

The frog DNA allowed them to change from females to males to reproduce.

I liked the ending of the book much better, but you are probably right. The book had a lot of information about genetic engineering and chaos theory, which was probably to much for movie audiences.

I feel like project hail mary book copied the recipe from the beginning of jurassic park with the science breakdown.

I actually enjoyed all that but yeah probably hard to fit in a movie
