Well you kind of can't fire an actress after the movie has already been released. You can fire an actress during filming of a TV series.
But honestly Disney (or any other movie studio) should never go anywhere near Rachel Ziegler ever again. She has proven herself to be toxic to any project she works on to the point of near sabotage.
With regards to her lawsuit, Pedro Pascal said worse on social media, but Disney didn't care because they agree with his message. They didn't agree with hers.

This is what Disney does. Just buries folks with their ginormous bags of money and high priced lawyers.
I could write a novel on this aspect of complex litigation but the discovery avalanches are overwritten in TV and movies. That said, I did dump 2.3 million pages of e-discovery on a boutique 14-attorney law firm last month but avoided the judge's ire because their discovery request was written too broadly. In short, judges today frown upon irrelevant document dumps, even e-discovery. Construction, some contract, financial, and haz-mat cases are often document-intensive but most judges consider the value of the case and rein in document dumps to keep them balanced against the value of the case.
There is no doubt big firms with little limit on billables can and do bully the small guys but papering the shite out of them when the vast majority is not relevant is a good way to get every motion to go the other way.

Considering how anti anything that wasn't extremely Left-leaning Disney was during that time (and possibly still is), I would be more surprised if we found out there aren't communications from multiple Disney/Lucasfilm execs where they planned their firing of her over her anti-COVID-hysteria posts.

i'm in an industry where i have to turn over online courseware created over the past 2 decades by various 3rd parties....and almost all of this utilizes the Flash technology which was killed about 8 years ago so good luck getting those .swf files to play so you can see what the content was.
they asked me about it and i just shrugged my shoulders and said "you asked for the material, I can't play it either so not sure what you want me to do."
they have to find a specialist who can emulate a 2010s PC, browser & flash plug-in.

I’m always fascinated when people claim they were fired without cause… as most states allow you to get fired without any cause at all.
Well, she wasn't working at Wal Mart. They broke her contract and actively put out a narrative that prevented her from getting work when she was in demand.

The one thing about this that rings true is that I’m highly doubtful many Hollywood actresses could kick my arse outside of her and Rhonda Rousey.
She’s literally a legit role player that was regularly appearing until this happened.

I know one of the things they tried to get her to do was submit to a FORTY PERSON zoom meeting aka Struggle Session where she was meant to profusely apologize for her 'beep, bop, boop' tweet which was, to the Wokeratti, a overt hate crime against the They / Them nut jobs.
She refused.
She refused.

Disney - claims to support strong independent women.
Yet they support the dumbasses who can’t define what a woman is or worships Palestine. The ignorance of the left is astounding and they keep painting themselves in the far left corner of idiocy.

This is why Disney is sweating discovery. It's also why I hope GC goes to the mattresses and refuses to settle
Her agent let her go as well during all of this. There’s speculation that there may be communication from Disney to the agent telling the agent to cut her loose.
