it's not looking too good for Disney Star Wars. But this time, it has zero to do with what's on screen.

While the trial will likely be pushed back until 2026, it's just delaying the inevitable.

Gina's lawyers are making a very strong case that Gina was fired without cause, while other actors did far worse, and not only didn't get fired, some (Pedro) continue to get more and more work.

The handing over of pay records will help determine not if, but how much Disney will owe the actress after she wins the case. And she will.

Wonder if there is a possibility of punitive damages to teach Disney and other studios a lesson.

I love it. She doesn't even have to go through this. Her family is loaded. Hell, she never had to work a day in her life, much less fight or get into acting. I'm glad she's going to expose those assholes.

I’m always fascinated when people claim they were fired without cause… as most states allow you to get fired without any cause at all.

I don’t know if California works that way.

The issue will be that PP called people Nazis and kept employment and said objectively worse things.

imagine if her family weren't wealthy, and she didn't have the backing of Elon. This is what Disney does. Just buries folks with their ginormous bags of money and high priced lawyers.

She's doing this not because she has to, not because she can, but because it's the right thing to do.

This. I hope she takes them for everything they own. It's sad what liberals have done to the movie and tv world. Everything they touch now turns to shite.

She was clearly fired for her political views, when others said and did far worse.

Even more, other Disney actors openly called for her to be 'cancelled', which again, isn't remotely professional.

It's a shite storm and Disney is headed face first into it.

Disney - claims to support strong independent women.

Also Disney - fires the most strong and independent woman for not towing company line.

I have to admit I haven't really kept up to date on this story, but don't companies normally fire employees that make post on social media they don't agree with? Or did they claim they let her go for something that was pure bullshite?

Because I fully support Chick-fil-A firing an employee that kept tweeting "God is Dead". Sure the employee has freedom of speech and I'm sure other employees tweet their love and devotions with no issues, but when you do shite like that it is purely to be an issue.

But if Chick-fil-A fired that employee but claimed it was for poor work performance and not because of their tweets, than frick them I hope the employee uses.

*Edit* I've worked for a company that has fired employees for bad mouthing the company on social media. I've been the one to do the firing after getting word from HR. I'm always surprised by employees being shocked that the company would have any issues with them talking about them online.

We always needed someone like this to come along to fix this crap. The average person just can't afford to fight a Disney in court.

They cut ties for tweets and speech, and said that's why. Meanwhile, they didn't cut ties with people saying and tweeting much worse than her.

This case is specific to California law. Ironically, the law was passed years ago to protect liberal political views.
