No guarantee that this would get made, but he co-wrote this with Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit.

Hernandez is most notable for writing Pokemon Detective Pikachu, which he co-wrote with Samit. They also recently created the Disney Channel show Ultra Viloet & Black Scorpion.

John Candy is dead, Rick Moranis is retired, and Mel Brooks does not appear to be involved. I'm sure that this could work in the proper hands, but Disney guys, including Gad, lead me to believe that this is going to be a disaster.

It has to be better than the cartoon. That was some pretty rotten stuff.

not a jobs Gad fan?

He loves old jewish comedians so he probably has a pretty solid reverence for Mel Brooks

Dude should be writing checks to Trey Parker and Matt Stone for the rest of his life. He was basically a third rate Jonah Hill knockoff before Book of Mormon.

Never got him. Don't know much about him but he seems like a star-fricker when it comes to the bigger celebs he interacts with.

No way it will be greenlit without the "updated for modern audiences" requirement.

If Dark Helmet didn't return for Ghostbusters, I don't see him showing up for this.

If anyone could do a sequel to this it would be Matt and Trey.

Josh Gad is too much a Disney shill to write this. The sequel would need to go balls deep into the misery that was 7-9 and just absolutely ream the Disney sequel trilogy and the company itself.

Matt and Trey would be perfect for that, Josh Gad would just suck that Disney dick.

Unfortunately without Rick/Mel/John, this movie shouldn't be made.
