my tolerance for any kind of racial / social justice messaging or the plight of the oppressed minority is almost zero. The first sign of any of it and I just turn off whatever I'm watching. It just takes me right out of the show.
I feel the same way

The wife and I just finished this. I don't know what movie you were watching, but it wasn't the Mississippi blues vampire flick we just watched. That was a good arse movie without a scintilla of wokeness or social messaging. It's a shame you judged it harshly, you missed out on an excellent, multi-faceted story.

Indians on horseback with a dire warning that ride off and never are seen again. They missed a great opportunity to reintroduce them after TSHTF.

Sounds like your headspace is pretty racist.

your whole existence in life is virtue signaling and racism. You people ruined that word. It means nothing to us now.

It’s racist to not want to watch racial sjw messaging?

No, it isn't, but there wasn't any of that in this movie.

Dude it’s not bad at all. There is a gratuitous, Django type scene with some KKK types at the end. Other than that it’s all within the context of the story. I have a very low woke tolerance and in enjoyed it.
This is where I parked my car.

If it bothers you to hear that black people weren’t always treated great in 1930’s Mississippi, yeah, that’s racist.

Yeah, but those people are tripping over their own dicks to read some sort of sjw message into that, or they just sympathize with the clan. For the time, place, and events in this movie, it wasn't anything but payback for a setup.

The people who think the KKK should be portrayed as good guys?
Why are we worried about such people?

After reading this thread I decided to go ahead and finish it. My original post stands.
