The big problem I have is once again there's no connection to the larger Batman universe and this ending kills any chance of it. We know the Joker name was only used to sell more tickets but I'm really surprised more comic book fans aren't upset over this. These might be the worst comic book movies ever with regard to sticking to some semblance of the established character.

Yeah, for whatever reason people are perfectly okay with directors using an IP to tell a story that is in no way related to the character they are trying to portray because they couldn't get the movie made otherwise.

The first movie was perfect. It was an analogy for the forgotten man rising up and being noticed. The amazing response was from a lot of straight, White young men who have been left behind by soyciety, and Todd and company saw this and had to shite all over it with this sequel. Shame on them

That's weird, I read a different ending on Reddit a few days ago. I wonder if there are different cuts being screened or the Reddit user is lying.
