he's not...he's not.....he's not good.

But, he's much better than little Commie Katie. And, it was just his first show so he may loosen up a bit and get better.

So far, I would rate the guest host accordingly:

1) Mike Richards
2a) Dr. Oz
2b) Ken Jennings
4) Aa-Aron Rodgers

...

It’s a disgrace Dr Oz was ever allowed to host. Aaron Rodgers is an eyebrow raiser, but Dr Oz is just absolutely disgraceful.

I still think Andy Richter should be given a chance. He's been on daily TV for a couple decades now. He's the highest scoring competitor on celebrity jeopardy. He would be able to crack wise and joke with the contestants.

Sure, he's a super liberal douchebag, but so are most of the other people they have guest hosting.

Not a bad choice actually.

Dr Oz and Katie Couric were both awful. I’d put Rodgers third behind Richards and Jennings.

Not that Rodgers was substantially better than Oz or Couric, but the latter 2 are professional tv hosts

I think Mike Rowe would be the best choice. Not sure if he would want to do it but he seems to check all the boxes: great voice, great charisma, very witty, TV experience, etc

I thought Mike Richards did a really good job. Haven’t seen the others host

Richards was definitely the best and would be hard to beat. Jeopardy is already an established product so the most important thing would be not to screw it up so a big name is not really as important as finding the right person to lead.

Having Dr. Oz host Jeopardy! is the biggest slap in the face to fans of the show.

Agreed. He’d be the best choice.

I'd like to see Jeff Probst. He's probably very content just doing Survivor, but once upon a time, he was the host of Rock n Roll Jeopardy.

Okay I'll need you and/or OML to expound.

I know next to nothing about Dr Oz except he has a tv show and did like Oprah or whatever.

Why is he getting such a strong reaction from both of you?

Will Farrell isn't doing anything good nowadays. He needs to do it.

I've been saying from the start that Richards lined up a bunch of also-rans to insure that audiences are receptive to him when he names himself the host.

If your theory is right, he did a great job.

A show based on facts was hosted by arguably the most famous snake oil salesman in the US. He sells debunked pseudo-science on his show.

The fact that he does it on his own show is bad enough, but that Jeopardy! producers thought that would be a good idea is insane to me.
